The birth anniversary of Lord Buddha was celebrated as the International Buddhist Day in 43 countries across 5 continents in the world on April 8, 2017. Wishing for world peace and serenity for humanity, Buddhists united their hearts and offered the prayers of gratitude. In Japan, a grand celebration was conducted at the Royal Grand Hall of Buddhism, Nenbutsushu Sampozan Muryojuji Head Temple, where the holy relics of the deceased supreme Buddhist leaders of the world including H.H. the late Supreme Patriarch of Thailand and the royal relics of H.M. the late King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia are enshrined. By celebrating the International Buddhist Day as a common festive day around the world, happy heart and religious mind will spread across the entire globe.
