With that being said, it is NOT Samantha in the photo; it's a reproduction. The real photo will, in an ideal world, never been seen. They haven't been seen since the trial in any public setting.

The last case just hurts my heart. Samantha was probably terrified before she died, and this monster put her through even more hell after she died, not to mention the pain he put her loved ones through. That photo will stick with me forever, I'm afraid. Her eyes open when she's already gone...

Yeah, the stairway to heaven case. That man didnt appear to be just another person hiking the trail as it looks like the guy is out there in the middle of noplace, not near enough to be hiking it, but close enough to be watching the trail. So what was he doing way out there? Was he watching the trail waiting for someone to be hiking by? It wouldnt be odd to come across someone else on the trail as i heard its not uncommon for people to attempt it. But if he was another hiker, maybe going off the trail to poo or something, was my 1st thought, but why go THAT far away to poo when its dense enough to just go a little ways away? Did the kid see movement out there so took the picture in that direction in case it was a cool looking animal out there? Im sure this would have been all over the news that he went missing, so why hasn't the guy just come forward and clear the mystery up? Questions, questions, but no answers.

I want to believe that Anatoly wasn't getting any sexual fulfillment from his "dolls" and that he really did believe he was rescuing them.. but there is one problem. Why are they all female? If one has a bias towards a victim, it is definitely not a coincidence for him to choose specifically girls to "rescue". Like I said before, I do want to believe he had good intentions, but this one detail doesn't make sense to me. I guess it is possible that he had more compassion for girls, but that would be kind of messed up.

My take would be that the funeral he was forced to attend was that of a young girl, and perhaps that sealed his inclination in that direction.

First, he was supposedly engaged to the girl after she died, which was forced on him because of some cultural tradition. Then, the kiss thing happened, and then after that she began haunting him in his dreams.
