I can appreciate the problem that Japanese media faces. The country is very calm and with limited crime etc, so that can really cut down on the interesting stuff that the average journalist can produce for the relentless demand of daily broadcasts... and yet clicks and eyeballs need to be attracted, so that advertising etc can be sold. They're probably desperate to find anything they can stick on the front page, hence the seemingly arbitrary flow of 'news' that they think will at least be interesting. As someone watching from outside, I'd love to see more videos on crime and safety in Japan... especially the 'quirky' elements like trust-system shops, umbrella theft, and bicycle parking 'crimes' :P

Thanks for the response! :D I'm just basing this on other youtubers in Japan that I watch, but I gather that there's almost a lifecycle where bicycles are parked where they shouldn't be, and they get confiscated by the authorities. People don't bother to pay the fine to get the old and battered bicycle back, and the bikes are eventually sold cheaply to others, who in turn park them in the wrong place and get them confiscated again.
