The Intruder is a good idea but it's obviously has, and is being constrained by, FNaF inspirations. The concept can be improved by having the Intruder be an actual asset in the world, walking and interacting with things. The limitation is having the entire game essentially played out of a single room, especially when the game seems driven towards having multiplayer. How I would improve it: First, I would have the Intruder being a physical asset capable of entering in every room of the house and not one the seldomly appears in the security room. I would balance it by having the intruder be moving physically slowly through the house, speeding up if they see a player (while also having the player having a speed advantage allowing for potential escapes and disincentivizing players 'martyring' themselves to give the team an edge) Being the Intruder is now a physical asset with its own LoS you can get rid of the "observe" gauge as the AI will start following the players of its own accord. Have the Intruder move slowly throughout the house with differing speeds and tactics depending on the chosen difficulty. If the Intruder sees a player it enters a "hunt" mode where it tries to track down the player it saw, with the only indication to the player being a significant increase in their anxiety over a short period. Have the resources in separate rooms. Having everything in the single room unironically makes the game too easy. You just need to control a couple resources (telephone and the light iirc) and you're essentially invincible. To fix this I would spread the resources to different parts of the house. This also gives the mimicking Intruder greater opportunity to ambush players in task rooms. I would change the anxiety system a bit. Being there is more to the house the players will be running around in darkness more increasing their anxiety. They can choose to turn on light, but this improves the Intruders LoS, if they see the intruder on the camera's their anxiety increases rapidly. And their anxiety raises fastest when seen by the Intruder (not in a 'hunt' state) The lights will also sometimes randomly shutoff needing to be reset at the circuit breaker. If the players anxiety reaches 100% they stop moving and start screaming and hyperventilating. The anxiety _actually_ informs the Intruder AI of that players positions and the Intruder tries to make it to them fast enough to end them. The animation is to have the bot response seem more realistic. The AI behaves differently on different difficultes. Ex: On easy; if the bot encounters a panicked player and another player is in LoS, on easy the Intruder only kills the panicked player and returns to their previous position. On Hard; the bot kills the panicked player and starts chasing the nearest player in its LoS. The bot moves faster through the world and strategically checks places (except hiding spots ((unless the bot sees the player enter the hiding spot)).). While on easy it will randomly explore the house. Only two ways to reduce anxiety: 1. Not seeing the Intruder on the camera's (make this very slow as to prevent players from tanking their anxiety by looking at a room they know the Intruder _isnt_ in) 2. Spending time in a designated relaxation room, the light is always on but there are no hiding spots making this room a guaranteed death if the Intruder checks while you're inside it. These alterations to me seem to be closer to the end goal of the creators, while maintaining the character of the game itself.

I feel like this game is based the Mandela Catalogue(horror series), which has these things called alternates that take the form of the victims and attack with psychological stuff. makes sense considering your anxiety goes up when the intruder is nearby and that it takes the form of whoever it kills. They can also talk like the person it killed(just like in the original series).

The first chapter is pretty easy to beat with a simple system Everyone (depending on how many people ur with) watches cam 6 (hall cam) and once the intruder is in the hall one person waits at the lights and the others wait in the closet, once the intruder knocks turn off the light and get into the closet, once it leaves wait by the phone to fix it, rinse and repeat until you win
