What did this guy do? Absolutely nothing, she felt that he wasted her time because he got matched to residency programs at Penn and University of Maryland and picked Penn because he thought it was a better match. @DragonMaster322004 жыл бұрын
ANARCHY!

In the original novel, Griffin was selfishness incarnate even before making himself invisible. The process by which he rendered himself invisible didn't make him do anything; it just allowed to be a bigger asshole than before. He was pretty much a sociopath in the book. In the 1933 movie, he was apparently a shy introvert beforehand, given how out of character everyone describes his outbursts when he's invisible, and indeed they did add the plot element of the drug he used causing insanity. So he's a way more tragic villain in the movie vs. the book. Adrian in this film is way more like Griffin in the novel; pure selfishness.

Invisible and transparent aren't mutually exclusive. Invisible means the object can't be seen, which implies that light can pass through (or around) the object. This would mean that they wouldn't have a shadow as a shadow is cast when light is blocked and reflected. If the light is going through or around the object, no light is blocked, so no shadow forms. Korey and Martin's complete lack of even basic knowledge on how light and shadows work is almost infuriating. But then, they're not too dissimilar to most people's understanding of it, so.... Brandon Brooks It's still part of a Dark Universe but it won't have interconnected stories. They're just making updated solo, character driven films based on the old properties. This is what they turned the Dark Universe into after the Mummy crashed and burned as hard as it did.

I felt like the "invisible" is horror for the victim here as well? As a victim of an abuser and a stalker - just a bad character - and no one believes you enough to help either? Just a thought!:)

One could do a story where part of the (bio-alteration) process is that afterwards your eyes see the infrared spectrum instead, like the Predator.

the one thing people forget is that if you're walking around invisible that means you're naked. he would be freezing!
@VGMR4 жыл бұрын
@ chicostephenson Interesting that you say that because actual stealth camouflage was introduced in the Metal Gear Solid video game series especially with one particular character, Grey Fox, utilizing it within an exoskeleton. Unfortunately, this "outfit" was literally his embodiment because of his previous "death" but the stealth feature could be activated anytime. What's scarier is that he also wields a sword that could also turn invisible while he indestructibly deflects bullets at rapid speed with it. Just imagine the terror this movie would've had with that character!

Yes
@ARuiz-eu3hk4 жыл бұрын
It is, but they decided they are not doing the whole mcu movies/character intersecting one another in other movies thing that leads to the ultimate crossover shit. Their plan is just to have single separate films that reimagine the classic monsters. Don't know if all these future films gonna take place on the same earth, but if they are, then probably just have them as single isolated incidents'.

Violet from Incredibles is a good invisible person. Doesn't hurt innocent people with her powers or use them to mess with people in either movie. To use a very niche example there's also the main girl from the novel Y: In the Shadows. The key thing seems to be if the invisible character is an extreme introvert. Then they'll probably just use it to hide better.

Doesn’t cast shadow because it projects light. Effectively cancels shadows, that is one of the points of the suit
@Mansplainer2099-jy8ps4 жыл бұрын
Would have been a neat twist if the suit actually cast a very subtle "anti-shadow" that the main character has learned to look for so when she's acting crazy "I see you! I see you!" she kind of does.

Maybe I'm just completely thinking from an anticapitalist lens but I find it completely reasonable that a rich person would not use the power to turn invisible to help other people but just to achieve his own selfish goals. Rich people are not necessarily good with money and they often just want to feed their egos.
@Stablemable23 жыл бұрын
Its a thriller with sci-fi. I tend to think this type film makes you root for the victim/survivor more, than be distracted by the logic or whatever plot holes of the villain. The focus is on the survivor as (eventually) out-smarting a bad man who had to use outside support to carry out his evil.

Hey there bros, This technology is actually here, its just not yet as good as the suit in this movie. But it does hide you and MOST OF YOUR SHADOW as well. It moves the light around the hidden soldier or tank or whatever, it also cannot be detected by infrared, thermal, etc its broadband invisibility. Search yt for "technology makes troops invisible" Theres also a smithsonian article about it.
