An iphone will sell maybe 50 million units. Also, Apple is the top spender for RND for phone related topics (samsung has almost double RND budget but it is divided between all the hundreds of product lines they have). I agree. I really hate the thought of having a camera pointed directly in my face all the time! Luckily there are privacy covers/phone cases you can buy and put over the cameras when you aren't using them. But by removing the camera modules completely you could fill up the freed space with something else, like a bigger battery or perhaps even a small projector? 🤔
