I deal with this every day ...all day for over a decade ..2 tours iraq & 3 afghanistan .....it's really hard ...I understand him needing relief from something that is truly all consuming....I am no longer who I used to be & I hate myself ....I feel scared that I am losing my mind & I stay in pain ..... don't want my son to have to see his dad slip away ....

First come headaches then they turn to migraines, insomnia, you want to tell people you see things out the corner of your eyes too but they’ll think you’re crazy… trembling, sometimes sleep paralysis in between weird dreams.. talking about problems causes your heart rate to skyrocket & your hands to shake. Still live with it… RIP to this Frogman.

@@JK-es4qp I was diagnosed years ago but am only sharing a first hand portion of what it is like to anyone reading .. to also not overshadow the individual who lost their life’s experience in the story above.

@@The-Canon I had no idea PTSD involved all those symptoms, like headaches, etc… I thought it was mostly depression and anxiety… I’m sorry.

@@thischannelisdeleted VA prescribed 300mg Bupropion (depression/mood enhancement), 100mg Trazodone (Insomnia), Hydroxyzine 20mg (Anti-anxiety), Topirimate 100mg (migraines) examples. It involves all of that that’s why I said I gave you a portion. That’s why I understand where the frogman is coming from. Taking all those meds daily just to make it another day or fight just to feel normal when you know you’ll never be what you were or what is considered normal again. I’m happy his wife understands.

I'm very sorry to hear about your husband. I have also suffered from a traumatic head/brain injury, but I am not a veteran. I had my injury when I was 17. It turned my life upside down for a few years, but I thank God for His help in getting myself grounded 🙏. I am very sorry for all the problems I had caused my family. I have gone back to all of them many years ago and I have apologized and asked for their forgiveness. I am not a veteran but my traumatic brain injury still has caused me to have moments of rage that scares people. And I can tell when I am triggered, I need to get away from everyone so that nobody will see me and also that I don't want to have anyone get hurt or anything. I'm praying for God's help and my self control and He is helping me. One day at a time. Baby steps. But it's still improvements I have PTSD and I have improved a lot since I was 17, but I still have some setbacks. I'm doing better in comparison to where I was.. Keeping you and your family in my prayers 🙏❤²

It took me fifteen years and congressional intervention to get help for PTSD (thanks to Elise Stefanik) It is no wonder that so many veterans give up.
