When you hit a ball with a pad, do you see any reason not to hit the cover or pad with a little bit of water first, if you have time to?

Honestly the X-Cell might be a better step down than the Ion Pro. I feel like the Ion Pro is more for the high rev players that don't match up with the Gem or Harsh bc they are just too early for them. For example, I would take an Ion Pro over a Reality or Gem because my revs are high and my speed is low.

Dang I don’t like my ion. Could be our lane conditions and/or I need some surface. My ion won’t make the corner unless I slow it WAAAAAY down (again likely a surface issue). Our house shot is 44’, 28mL, ~4:1. I basically use it as a spare ball. I need to check my pro shop. I might cop that mesmerize.

But at first I hated my ion pro until I figured out what the ball wanted to do. Then I shot a 250 average with it in a tournament. But I had to put about 30 games on it to understand it

That is a lot of oil. You definitely have I put way more surface on the ion pro to get it to work better. But I would just advise getting a stronger ball to combat the oil. You will probably end up playing very straight up the lane.
