I still have my iphone 4 I can’t use it so it sits in my closet completely dead It’s stuck in an ENDLESS WiFi/iCloud sign in loop and it pops up every second not even the camera is useable i have a video of what it does on my channel I’m currently using my 6s I may upgrade to an 8 so I have better battery life The battery in my 6s is original and the screen is cracked (one fine crack across the screen with a tinny bit of shattering on the bottom right corner it’s not even noticeable to me unless I look for it) so I can’t get it replaced without needing to also get a new screen because I know it would break worse especially if apple messed with it

ios 5 didn't had a activation lock yet, activation lock was introduced in ios 7, so if you restore an iphone with ios 6 or lower you can set it up like any other normal iphone.

Got news for you. I bought an iphone 4 in 2012 secondhand offa Craigslist for $180. It was my first step up from my Motorola RAZR. I still have it, (I use a first gen SE now) and the old lady is using it right now until I get this 6S up and running. She had a Galaxy Avant and of course she wrecked the charge port. She really loves the Apple as opposed to the Android, so I'm not going to waste the time resoldering a new charge port onto the MB.

Noice boi, I recently got a black GSM iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1 w. a faulty digitizer and a battery expanding so bad, the rear glass-cover was popping out in one corner. I just recently got the display and battery replaced and has now become a relic in my own collection for just 20$ U.S, not including the parts. Keep up the great videos Hugh!

Open the backdoor and look at the IC and battery. If battery wet, change to new one. If the IC rust, change the IC. It will be worth it because you got it for free..

iOS 6 and below are the best looking versions and you can't convince me otherwise. Everything after looks flat and boring. I love UI that has some depth to it. I loved the skeuomorphism a lot. That green pool table for Game Center will never be beat by the flat boring white background with bubbles.

I have a CDMA iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1 but it’s downgraded with a custom IPSW called GeekGrade. It’s tethered so if my battery dies or I restart it I have to plug it into Redsn0w and boot it. I could’ve done iOS 6.1.3 but iOS 6-7 has issues with AirPods Edit: also it’s got a GSM black screen with the frame of a CDMA white screen. It looks unique with the white plastic bezels and black glass.

I replaced my 4 with a 6 a while ago and it's the best choice I've ever made. Bigger screen + better performance. If you're really desperate get a used SE or a 6th gen iPod Touch, they're just as good as a 6.

That’s how my iPhone 4 was...I think actually worst as half the screen was gone. I can say, phones have gotten much stronger as I don’t use cases and my last 3 phones have not cracked even after multiple drops.

I have a 4s running 5.0.1 I got in December 2022 for 33$ I had to get the speaker replaced for 70 $ but the phone is so worth it it is a black one with barely no scratches besides one small crack by the home button I don’t think it was ever updated and the last call was November 2012 so that’s cool it also have a tons of songs download it also has 95 percent battery health and the original screen
