I guess I misremembered the multiple ranks on the walls thing; but it is still often worth putting your guys two ranks deep to let guys fill in the holes after the front rank gets shot.

Hey Lionheart, 1. Before you recruit any units at your Capitol, try to build the Training Camp so your range units will have GOLD accuracy! 2. Maybe also consider building a cheap and cheerful force with GOLD accuracy to destroy your former vassel and also use this force to invade the Tosa island so you can make it as a breadbasket to Build more armies or better get the HMS Warrior! 3. Please Build the Traditional Dojo at your Capitol to get a shinobi to deal with those enemy Geisha's and they will cause Problem like public order and enchant your general's and agent's.

I don't think you can only because of the time constraints. I don't know when you'll be able to get rid of theee invasion armies. You have to stop all those rebellions that really stopped you from your progression in military and economic strength.

Tipps for Ship Battles: Always try to iniate a battle. That way the AI just waits in a line, giving you the opportunity to attack from weak angles. Also research at least the first armor breaking rounds, they shoot further. Kinda exploiting: You can shoot even further manually, the shots bounce on the water and still hit the enemy ships. The AI kinda freezes out and does often not react at all. Just make sure to stay out of that distance where your ships would shoot by themselves.

I think it's still winnable, though it will be a challenge. Obviously right now the main goal is just to re-secure your base in Kyushu, but then you'll have to manage the dual challenge of keeping your economic and recruiting heartland secure while also sustaining an offensive push against your enemies. Since you won't have the money to build a large enough fleet to secure your coasts for a long time, you'll have to keep an army back to defend the homeland, and be quick to anticipate and counter enemy landings.

This has been one of the most enjoyable campaigns to watch. I look forward to every episode as I wonder what new threat Lionheart will be forced to overcome 😊

Restart? Do you not realize who is playing this game? Lionheart is the master! Now, I was/am thinking that if we don’t get full control of the island, and then be able to both “repair” everything on fire AND get a navy to put a stop to all the invasion, THEN, it doesn’t look good. You’ll constantly be in a setting where you are recovering but never advancing. I warned you about the navy (I know, of course, you knew that). This, to me, is yet another reason why S2 is the best game because it really forces the player to balance multiple things such as having a navy to defend your rear. But, been watching for years and I have know you know your way around a strategic map. Go get ‘em!

Sorry for off topic question, this question is for book readers of Shogun about Yoshii Nagakado (Toranaga son) I looked at the wikipedia and there is no character Yoshi Nagakado, there are Yoshi Sudara and Yoshi Naga. So who is his real life counterpart? Second question: Did they change story in Shogun (2024) in case of Toranaga's sons? Or is the older son supposed to appear later in story? I guess try to be little bit cryptic with answers, because Lionheartx10 and others haven't seen this series yet.

After seeing you claw back a win in that Rome 2 campaign where you literally didn't have a city and were running north for you life I'll never bet against you on whether or not you can win a challenging run! Do you have any daughters you can marry into the Tosa to try getting them back on side?

I think you’ve got it but it’s gotta be time to push, mostly so you have some income but you MUST have a plan for pro republic changing because if not you’re going to get bogged down waiting. If it’s a garrison force following the main push?

If you do another republic campaign Aizu is the way to go. Vermillion Bird Force backed up with a few bow kachi, yari kachi, and artillery will wreck everybody. 1st turn recruit troops then leave a general behind and put everybody on the boat (sink the expensive one) and go sneak attack either: 1 The Hojo to take Sagami and Izu provinces for a blacksmith and gold mine and go from there or 2 go all the way around to Sado island then Ugo province for that blacksmith and gold mine. The capital is easy to hold with a fortress and some troops so you can expand back to it from elsewhere.

I think you should focus on taking out their navy and blockading their ports, I like to make 2 stronger fleets going up each side of the main island to engage their fleets and using solo patrol ships to blockade. It will weaken the ai economy and prevent them from landing armies behind you.

This will be tough, you already know this, but there is another reason, if you somehow manage to push against Saga and Tosa, by doing this you are lifting last few bits of Imperial preasure on Shogun-leaning factions..., well Kyushu must be fortified enough atleast on east. And to make things worse, Tosa is sending full professional modern army against you... But I find on this situation one positive thing, if you survive long enough, we might see gutling guns towers :D Anyway, it's crucial to stabilize Kyushu and fortify east coast of the island, try to have semidecent fleet to counter and if by then possible push to Honshu to distract enemy fleets from Kyushu, but you already know it. Technical question, what is upkeep difference between line infantry, black bear infantry and republican infantry?

I agree wholeheartedly that you can win this m8, in fact, it is your well managed siege defenses that makes me think you can win this, you can easily take on forces 2 to 3 times your own size, that's what makes me confident that your garrissons and a small mobile army on your homeland is enough to hold the turf ( btw, i disagree with the replies from some guys on my comment section in previous videos) Your best army ( the one with gatlings, armstrong guns, bear infantry and royal marines) is the best army in the game so far, yet, you barely use them so far, (only for that one time auto resolving overwhelming advantage on your side) in my opinion, ypu already have the means to, at least, take out saga and push beyond.

I think if you took another 10-15 turns to build up your economy and police it would’ve saved you the trouble of having constant rebellions while being attacked and would have stabilized your main island more quickly

OUR REPUBLIC STILL FIGHTS ON! IN the Province of Buzen, Shimazu Tadayoshi fights against a force of Saga Attackers. After a hard battle the Satsuma Republic is GLORIOUSLY VICTORIOUS in the battle, losing only 522 men to the Saga force losing nearly 3000 men! We were also able to capture a wooden cannon from them. At Hizen a force of Sado Dogs attacked. Though we lost the battle there, our army there gave the Sado Dogs hell taking it, making them lose over 1000 men. Though we trade one city lost, we gained a city when Shimazu Takamori led his army into decimating the Sasayama forces and their reinforcements. Shimazu hisamitsu then led his army into battle against the Sasayama forces in the Battle of tsukushi Fields, our Parrot guns and Gatling guns rained hot lead down on the Sasayama dogs. It was a decisive battle fought with our lord only losing 157 in his army, compared to the ten times number of Casualties the Sasayama lost. We stand strong and united!

I don't see this happening due to the time left. Only because your public order issues and as you finally start pushing out you need to leave troops behind to hold the territory and you done have the money or time to slow down If you didn't have to worry about time. 100% forsure could pull this out
