Correct me if I’m wrong but from what I’ve seen the company That made the IS series continues making heavy tanks for the Soviet Union but they had to rename one of their tank T-10M because Stalin died, it’s originally named IS-8 and IS-9 and the name of IS-10 was accepted in 1952

An interesting piece of info for you guys here. During the tender, the IS7 was rejected due to its weight (Nearly 70 tonnes as you said) with the Russian government saying production tanks could not be over 45. but some some sources actually suggest that this wasn't the case. its thought that the IS7 actually weighed upward of 80 tonnes, possibly 90! and that the specifications were reduced to around 65 to give it a feasible chance at going into production... sadly (or gladly, depending) this didn't work

Just picked the IS-2 . Big sister might be slow as all heck but she scares the enemy tanks to death , even if I miss . To be honest. It's the only tank I've used in war thunder that consistently pops turrets straight up into the sky which is most satisfying . My various Abrams don't do that , even in custom matches against ww1 and ww2 tanks .

The IS-2 had a major flaw. The gun was so big that it had to be returned to a level position in order to fit the next shell into the breach after firing. So you couldn't keep your sight tracking a target if you missed the first time.

The 122 cannon is sh!t. Take a Maus, or Jagdttiger, and they can´t do sh!t against you! It has less penetration than the 88L/71 or the 100L55 and takes twice as long to reload, so you can forget about shooting the cannon, then the track and then flank it...

IS6 was one of my favorites. It bounced nearly any cannon it faced and moved like a light tank, just the 122mm doesn´t have enough pen for other heavy tanks and the reload is too slow to disable a cannon and then flank the enemy... The T10 has a better cannon and does still decent at its BR and the IS7 is OPAF. The other IS aren´t that impressive, if you ask me. The IS3 and IS4 had like 30 reload time and you could shoot them from the front quite easily, either at the driver hatch or right under the barrel...
