Thank you for sharing your exceptional knitting talents and beautiful island with us. I’m not sure which I enjoy more, the knitting or the video vacation. The cows roaming freely and the long ear at the end made my heart sing.

Oh my goodness Diane, your jumper is just beyond ( as we say - which means beyond perfect). How clever to film by the wall in the special graveyard. What is so super about your vlogs is not just the knitting ( perfecto) but also the “ what you have been up to” sections and showing us such beautiful scenery and telling the story behind some of it. Thank you so much. Enjoy your October. It is a beautiful sunny day here in Cumbria, England. ❤

Good morning ! I just found your podcast, which is such a treat because I live in NK …and , of course, love BI. I will go back and watch the older ones, but I wanted to comment on that gorgeous La Bien Aimee yarn. You are an accomplished knitter and I urge you to find a pattern that will bring you joy in the knitting process. The yarn is stunning, and your choice of pattern should bring a smile to your face, and perhaps not make your brain work overtime 😍.

Hi there, I’m so happy you found my channel! Yes, the yarns is scrumptious. Yesterday morning I had a breakthrough with the pattern and I feel is can continue. I’m hoping to make a follow up video regarding my progress. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤

I completely understand your struggle with the complexity of the Andrea Mowry pattern. She has a wonderful you tube channel where she answers questions about knitting - you should totally ask her advice on how to solve the issue you’re experiencing!! I am sure she would love to help you!!! 💚💚💚 best of luck with your beautiful sweater!!

Diane, this was a beautiful episode! I love your cardigan- I was wondering how you do your purl rows? I know you recently switched to continental knitting as did I (for a similar reason, shoulder problem). I just finished a cardigan too and think my purl rows are quite loose. I thought I read somewhere about purling in the back loop but haven’t tried it yet. Good luck with your newest sweater project, I don’t have dyslexia but do find making a ‘board’ helps me when my mind is toooo busy to process a complicated project. I was so excited to hear about Gudrun Johnston’s classes and signed up too! I also skipped Rhinebeck and Vogue Knitting in NYC this year but it’s fall and I wanted to explore something new. Now I’m looking forward to the class and meeting you too!

Hello! How wonderful to hear from you and to know that we will be together for Gundrens classs!! I plan to show my knitting and purling techniques in my next podcast. I’ve been very aware of how I knit and purl as I have persevered with the Daydreamer vneck sweater. Hopefully I’ll pocast within the next few days. See you soon!!!! 🧶❤️

The green yarns are SO gorgeous I would probably frog it and use the yarns for another pattern so that you get maximize enjoyment form your knitting. Then knit Andreas pattern in another yarn at a later date.

Could you tell me where you bought this green yarn? I liked her very much. I live in Ukraine, would it be possible to send it abroad and I don't think you said how much it costs?
@theislandlamb18 күн бұрын
Hi there, thank you for watching. The green yarns that I’m holding together to make the Daydreamer are from La Bien Aimee. Aimee is an American living In France. She produces and dyes the lovely yarns in France and then supplies yarn shops around the USA and I believe in Europe. I would check on line as it would be expensive to buy in the US and then ship. If you’re referring to the green Drops yarn that is also a yarn you can probably get on line more easily then I can as it’s from Norway. As far as price I feel it would be less expensive for you then me as I’m paying for US price. Good luck and stay strong! 🧶🧶❤️

Hi. My name is Tina and I live on Long Island NY. In a previous podcast I heard that you were interested in LOp yarn. A few years ago we travelled to Iceland where I bought Lopi yarn. I have a large quantity of a rich dark brown color. By the time I I found a pattern to knit I found the color too dark for me to knit with. If you are interested I would be happy to send it to you if you would pay for postage. Let me know if it is something you are interested in and I will take photos, give you yardage and have weighed. Tina

If I were you, I would close up where you have the pocket marked and drop down lower and cut into your stitches at that lower down place to put the pockets at a lower point. Where you have the pockets marked, it appears to be way too high up. I am only 4’9” and I could see making the pockets for someone my size where you have it marked, but you are much taller than that.

Why do a knitting podcast showing your knit….. in a cemetery…..and those who reside there……respect
@theislandlamb6 күн бұрын
Good morning, it’s a historical cemetery and all our cemeteries on the island are available to tour, walk around and photograph. By going and remembering and doing a little research it’s our way of showing we didn’t forget. I’m sorry if this offended you. ❤
@Bethene03176 күн бұрын
@@theislandlamb it is one thing to “tour “ respectfully…quit another to show off a knit and it’s specifics…..🤔😥
