Oh my, this is just beautiful! The Isle of Wight is such a special place, and these vintage chuff-chuffs just add to the charm of the place. I dread the thought of the island losing its lovely 'olde world' charm... though I fear it's inevitable. Thank you for posting! ❤

Thanks for filming this. Sadly it will probably become a historical video of another RR line that nobody cared enough to maintain or support.

How much longer is this rolling stock be operating on this line? When is it going to be (sadly) replaced?
@blackthorne574 жыл бұрын
Their days are certainly numbered. The replacement rolling stock will consist of be completely rebuilt Ex London Underground D stock. The first were due to go into service in the summer of 2020 but with the Corona virus pandemic this will probably be delayed.

Great video! How did you get that many shots of the train? Did you chase it?
@blackthorne574 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I did not have a car on the Island to chase the trains. At Ryde and on the pier, I walked, for the rest of the line I rode the trains and got off at stations along the way.

So would you be if you were over eighty years old and spent nearly thirty years running up and down a pier over salt water!
