the south plains seem to be the prefect place for herra. other players, many AI, quiet safe water and nice trees to ambush. every time I left these area we starved. so, at the end we stayed there and had our first success and our first contact with venom :)

Dilo's venom is so impressive but I already knew it would be, Herrera's game changing mechanic fills my heart with so much excitement for how much the new method of traversing opens the map up more! And I absolutely cannot wait for Hypsi to be able to climb aaaaa!

yeah, both are great. dilo can be exciting for big battles (even if I slayed them as teno yesterday) and herra's mechanics are so fun. I love all the tree stuff. to climb, jump down and mostly jump from tree to tree

The way Herreras hand and foot just hang limp because he's relaxing 5:30, is a really neet detail. They really nailed it with Herrera overall.

I love the way it lays on the branches like you said, such a nice detail and the glowing throat is also an amazing feature. they really did well with herra. if you compare how much better herra is than it was in Legacy and think of how many dinos are still to come the future looks bright

Shoal fish should be on the Herrera's diet. Not just something as a fill up when you're, inevitably, starving due to lack of any food, including the all to elusive, AI. And in all the shoal fish my Herrera's have eaten, they've never made me sick. _Yet!_ But as per most beasties, overeating does make you sick and swallowing a whole fish as a small Herrera can easily put you over the top if you're about 90% fed. Best to drop a shoal fish and eat it on the ground.

I'm not sure if was intended or not but right now ai seems to only spawn around large groups of players. I was playing herrera with a group of people on the east plains (on the island in the middle of the lake) and herds of boars just kept spawning on the tiny island. XD Apparently that's why you can no longer find turtles or crabs anymore. Great vid as always! :) Herrera might be my favorite new dino to play. Love chilling in trees. XD

Ah, okay, maybe that's why, as a ptera, I can't find fish. Maybe they want to use this to increase performance? But performance is still a struggle... This also means that where you find food, there are other players nearby

Was all this in South plains? The Ai is insane! It is like this in east plains but it’s so boring there apart from the food, I don’t like the ambience at all. 😂 This looks much better!

yes, this was mostly at the south plains. beside the two time I starved on while exploring it's a lovely place which I can highly recommend at the moment. it really looks like AI is only at the plains (northeast, east and south) tho, which is very annoying :/

I also found out we have fall damage by accident tried to jump across a river from a tree, landed in the middle in a shallow spot and broke my leg. We also can't climb with a broken leg, which makes sense, but means we're really sitting ducks. Luckily herra seems to heal fast though!

I don't know why, 'cause it makes sense that it isn't unbreakable, but, somehow I really thought we have no fall damage people told me there is even a special symbol (bone) if you aim from too high true, the broken leg was healed pretty quickly, but yeah, I didn't feel safe down there

Also, not sure if you knew this or not. But from what I've watched from some others. You can use hills to your advantage in a fight. By leaping into the air and causing damage like you would when falling out of a tree. Herra can kind of 'pounce' prey by doing this. But, of coarse is just a smaller belly flop. I'm pretty sure it does more damage compared to the bite anyways, regardless of the short distance of 'fall damage' Maybe that's something that needs to be tested? 🤔

ello Nvidia RTX 3080, AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, 32 GB RAm and I play on 4k resolution. my frames are limited to 60 ('cause of the recording). without I have about 90-120 FPS. sometimes they drop even to 50 tho. depending on the area, amount of players and daytime.

Übrigens mir ist in deinen Evrima Videos aufgefallen das du zum Teil extreme Nachladelags bzw Ruckler hast... Wundert mich nur da ich das bei mir nahezu gar nicht feststellen konnte. Ob das an der 4K Auflösung liegt? Nicht das es n hardwareseitiges Problem ist... Ansonsten vielleicht mal gucken ob du das in anderen Games auch hast,oder du hast einfach immer Pech mit den Servern (Ping,etc.) XD... Ich zocks halt in QHD wegen meinem 170 Hz Monitor und so. danke ♥ ja, möchte schon länger mal wieder ein PoT video machen, aber bin dermaßen im stress in letzter zeit. komm echt zu gar nichts nebenbei gerade :/ die ruckler sind furchtbar und nerven mich wie sau. ich habe schon alles probiert und kann mit sicherheit sagen dass es nicht an meiner seite liegt. hab zuerst alle treiber erneuert, sogar windows neu aufgesetzt. dann hab ich festgestellt dass bei jedem ruckler meine LAN verbindung wahnsinnige spitzen hat. als wenn der server ein mega datenpacket sendet oder hängen bleibt. ich habe ca. 5 weitere online games ausprobiert und hatte nicht einen ruckler irgendwo. dann hab ich auf full HD umgestellt und hatte trotzdem ruckler. zurück auf 4k habe ich das modem erneuert, meine kabel zum modem und das kabel vom modem zum PC. alles nagelneu. trotzdem ruckler. hab mit meinem provider gesprochen und der hat eine 24 stunden überwachung meiner leitung gemacht und konnte keine schwankungen im netz selbst feststellen. dann habe ich die the isle devs auf discord angeschrieben und die meinten ich solle mein bios updaten. habe jedoch mit meinem PC hersteller gesprochen (ich kenn die jungs seit 20 jahren) und diese sagten mir ein bios update ist völliger blödsinn im zusammenhang mit diesen rucklern. sie (und ich auch mittlerweile) vermuten eher ein serverseitiges problem. es tauchte übrigens mit dem umstieg auf die unreal engine 5 auf. sehe diese ruckler im übrigen auch bei vielen anderen youtubern die ich selber schaue. ich hasse diese lags und hoffe die fixen das problem bald mal. weil ich habe keine idee mehr was ich auf meiner seite machen könnte.

@@da.mombie Ja naja nicht das es was mit nem RAM Riegel zu tun hat oder nem OC Profil von Prozessor, RAM oder GPU... Manchmal kann das Overclocken auch Probleme verursachen...Oder Undervolten... Du könntest auch mal über ne VPN aus nem anderen Land auf die Server joinen, um wirklich auszuschliessen das es vom Netzwerk kommt... Mir fiel es halt nur auf da ich das nahezu kaum bis gar nicht habe, Setup aktuell Ryzen 7 7800 X3D , RTX 4090 , 32 GB DDR 5 bei mir. Aber natürlich kanns auch einfach serverseitig sein da es wirklich wie Ping Schwankungen aussieht. Mal Kabel statt WLAN probiert oder umgekehrt? Vielleicht fixt es sich ja irgendwann, ich wünsch dir schon mal n guten Rutsch...

I love them, but, the effect lasts a little too long imo. I played teno as you will see tomorrow and it lasted 7 minutes! after the last bite. 7 minutes without scent and also no threat anymore is quite boring on the long run. but, in general I love the mechanics

the map is something we have to get used to (knowing better) first. the food is a little problem at the moment, as they changed AI spawn mechanics and it's either buggy or very bad right now. I'm pretty sure this will change again. at least I hope so. right now they force you to stay in the most busy areas, which is sad somehow :/ but yeah, the climbing is awesome
