My personal favorite addition to the game is being able to swallow small prey whole. Ive been in a carno pack a few times and food was scarce so being able to eat a baby without anyone noticing is super helpful ;)

Though funnily enough, at least the last time I've checked, you actually get way, WAY less amounts of food by eating the prey whole than what you'd get from eating the corpse bit by bit while the body is still on the ground. Which literally makes zero sense. xD

@@DrogothWrath It does make sense though if you think of it as a matter of digestion rather than the total mass of the prey, as it's a lot easier for the stomach to break down and make use of food that's in pieces rather than a fully intact animal. There is a reason why most land based animals chew their food first, because if they don't a lot of the food will just go to waste.

100% 🙏 Playing on legacy with a pack of 15 utahs and being attacked by bigger dinos and having to runs around pecking their legs like a bunch of chickens was the most frustrating thing knowing that Utah pack would be deadly with its most formidable attack being the pounce and not being able to do it. It’s such a deadly tool but it’s all about timing and knowing when to back off once you’re out of steam. I’ve become pretty good at it and now with one or two friends we rampage the EU servers

You can already. There is a buck mechanic as a counter to the pounce but not a lot of people know it. Also in the video the last pounce on the carno you can see he runs into a tree and it unlatched me and causes a stun.

Have to call 2 and if the other raptor calls back on 2 then you automatically group up. Sounds like you had some rotten luck but be cautious with any dino even your own species especially if they are hungry. Its the nature of the game and survival 👍

Recently I havent found it scarce, earlier versions were. Juvi survival in evrima is much harder now, the ai is more clever and will do its best to avoid you compared to the dopey taco and ava in legacy who would run to you lol 😆

There is a way, I cant recall exactly what button but you press and hold when you have been pounced to deplete the utahs stamina fast which will make them jump off and easy to kill as they cant run away. Other then that when in doubt run into a tree🌴🦖 lol 😆

@@willieconka Yeah I played a lot on Teutonic 1 which has shitty ping. I played with a superpack of utahs too but i got 15-20fps... and it is not my computer. I'll try to play more on official server as a utah because you need to be precise as one of them cuz one mistake can kill you easily..

Yea 100%! Crappy ping and teleporting players is a death trap for pouncing. I have pounced thin air before we it was a perfect side pounce.... it happens. But to be fair in general I find it well optimised in its early state. When there are a lot of dinos in close proximity it can be a hot mess and pouncing is not reliable lol

Yea I would expect the optimisation to get worse as more dinos get introduced especially bigger species. They will get refined overtime but optimisation is always a continuous process as new additions are added.

I dont recall the server this was recorded on I just choose a server with a decent ping which would of been an EU server. Havent played the game since uploading the video so dont know if you are experiencing a more recent issue but I have had my fair share of lags, desyncs and disconnects but should be expected on betas. Try a server on a really low ping and see if you get a different experience 👍

Idk. The animation of the Utah looks way better on legacy to me. I rly don't like it. Especially the way they eat and drink. They all look like they are trying to throw up.. I played Utah all the time on legacy I am obsessed with raptors as a whole. Try Evrimas Utah just try it believe me its 10 billion times better and will be undergoing tweaks throughout Evrimas development to perfect it especially the pounce but they made a damm good starting point 👌

@@iviilk4234 The models are done but animations may under tweaks as more dinos are introduced because of the pounce mechanic. Trust me I was spectical at first and tried Evrima Utahs in its very early stage and didnt like it that much and kind of preferred legacy. But as with anything new once you get used to it its impossible to go back to the old version trust me. I am sure you will feel the same once you played with Evrimas Utah for a bit you will understand what I mean 👍

Might be G but double check key bindings its under "pickupabody". As far as I know you can only grab flesh chunks if the body is too big to drag. I dont think there is a seperate command to just grab flesh chunks.

From memory legacy recommended spec is gtx 1070 I don't think they released Evrima specs yet but I can only imagine Evrima will be a higher spec. Have you got The Isle already or are you checking first before purchase?

It should run on that card but running smooth thats another question. I had a quick look to try and find some benchmarks but none avaliable for Evrima only legacy that I could see. Evrima is under heavy development so might want to wait until specs are announced once Evrima enters a stable state or give it a try up to you. Hopefully someone who plays Evrima with your card reads this and can give you a better insight ✌

If you mean pounce then yes there is a 'buck' mechanic that was mentioned in patch notes in December but whether it works properly I wouldn't know havent tested myself. If in doubt and you have been pounced run into a tree and the raptor will get stunned as it happened to me in the video at the end.

Its honestly very rare you’ll see this many Utahs in a pack, depends on the server rules. A lot of servers wouldn’t allow this many unless it’s a no rule server lol. An average sized pack would have a lot of trouble taking stegos down for sure

Wow, pouncing is really way too easy right now, like you don´t even have to pounce on a spot where you can stay on, you can just pounce on the head or the tail and get teleported to the side. I hope pouncing get´s a bit harder otherwise it will be a little Op, and even more op because there is the bug that getting utahs off of you isn´t working that good for now. Still good video! I don´t blame you playing Utah because it is fun for sure.

Yea I personally would prefer a harder technique to execute the pounce as it is deadly (which it should be) but I do find it too easy to master and its not fair for balance as you said. Even on legacy I played utah about 90% of the time but a proper working utah pounce was always what was needed but its in the early stages. I hope they will make it harder to do overtime, many people share your opinion who play other dinos but even Utah players like myself if they are being honest enough to admit it. The challenge of this survival game is what makes this game replayable, the easier they make it the more boring it will become for me but others share the opposite opinion if they dont have hours to kill successfully growing a dino which I completely understand. Its a hard task to please everyone 🙃

@@willieconka Yeah I agree! I always liked to play the dinos that are "weaker" because they aren´t fairly balanced in the game, to kinda have a challange. I am happy thought that utah does have a pounce mechanic now, because yes, it definetily needed it. I just hope they get to balance it at least better than in Legacy. Because if you weren´t playing like an op apex in legacy then you couldn´t really have that much fun, as most people were palying the apexes and it was too easy to grow one. And after you die from like a rex or a giga for the 10th time because you don´t stand a chance even in a big pack, it get´s really annoying.

@@dodohirn4646 They seem to be on the right track with polishing the general roster of dinos and each dino having there specific mechanics for pros and cons to make them unique and have a more varied play style for different players. Along with a perk system and elder system its a great idea and should make the survival of the fittest aspect a true achievement. Personally though I am really worried about these human species being talked about. I cant see it working I really hope I am wrong but I dont get it 😕

@@willieconka Yeah I agree with the humans going to be in the game. Was never really a fan of it when I heard that, I kinda just like the thought that it´s like a testing island and the dinos just killed everyone and broke out, or the humand just flew. I think just a simulation of a dinosaur life is better, if humans are in you´ll probably have to worry about being shot and stuff and I think that would make it a really different game.

@@dodohirn4646 Yea a testing island sounds good. I was thinking it might be something to do with Hypo Dinos and humans will be tasked to take them down. Whatever it is I hope it compliments the game and doesnt take away the natural dino survival aspect.

The game needs a limit on Dino's for more veriety,like hell let loose if you've played that game. Raptor pack is strong good fun
