Never saw the TT races of the Isle of Man myself. This reaction is in honor of 2 of the nicest Manx people I ever met. Marjorie and Jack Ward from Lower Foxdale. They were marshalls during the races for the most years of their life. Marjorie once got badly hurt at an older age being a marshall. Took her a long time to recover. The love for the race remained. I met them on a cruise along the Norwegian coast and we became Friends. When I went to their beautiful Isle to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with them, instead of a present for themselves they favoured a money gift, because they were trying to raise as much money as possible to support the Helicopter Rescueteam of the TT races with 🥰⭐⭐🇮🇲 They are dead now, still love and miss them 💕.

The Riders in the TT don't do it for the prize, they do it to test themselves against the track. One racer said there's a green blur and a grey blur, you try to stay on the grey blur. I've also seen one comment that the commenter stated that they thought the TT was the closest to Star Wars Pod Racing you can get to on Earth. I chuckled at one reactor who commented that they thought that the Star Wars Pod Racing was based on the TT Race. Edit: The TT price is a pittance compared to the other races. Heh try having a shufty at the Sidecar races, whilst not as fast they are even more insane.

I'm pleased to see a like minded biker. I've been riding for over 35 years and never had an accident. People make the mistake of treating a bike like it's a toy, they are to the ones who end up in a wheelchair or worse. I took my Kawasaki 750 around Brands Hatch and my butt was chewing the seat the whole time. My sense of self preservation outweighs my need for adrenaline rushes. Keep safe my friend ✌️♥️🇬🇧

Have property at the 11th milestone of the TT (currently run by my brother). Connor is a true local hero and the TT fortnight is a magical place for anybody who likes their bikes! It is a beautiful island with plenty more going on than just the bikes, and we have good business for the summer season. Guy Martin was glimpsed earlier on - and someone well worth looking more into - his speed attempt series, the Lancaster and the battle of Britain Spitfire pilot ones in particular.

Guy Martin is a legend on the TT circuit. His crashes were legendary. Fortunately he's not racing anymore, but he does do the most brilliant tv programmes about engineering. I went to the IoM TT in 1985: that's a long time ago now but I have never forgotten it. I did the overnight ferry from Heysham to Douglas with a thousand or three others, decks awash with piss and vomit and salt water and diesel. Riders and pillions came from all four corners of the planet, mostly British (like me ) and German and French and Dutch and Spanish and Russian, and I heard American and Australian and all kinds of accents and languages. I did "Mad Sunday", a sort of free-for-all for anyone who had a bike (I gather it's much less silly nowadays). All in all, if you love riding bikes and you've been to MotoGP events and want something a bit less tame, save up and GO. You will never, ever, forget the experience.

Out of all the American bike racers past and present, Dave Roper is currently the only American to win a TT Race using conventional internal combustion engine power; the Historic TT of 1984. Riding a G50 Matchless he headed home the field in the only time this class of race has been run. Dave has also finished runner-up twice in the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix, in 1988 and 1990.

I've been able to ride bikes for over 40 years without fortunately causing too much damage to the old body, but the riders in the TT are totally in a class of their own. If I was ever able to meet a rider who hammered their rear end around the TT Race circuit I wouldn't be ashamed to kneel at their feet and kiss their boots. One of riders said ' On the track there's a wide green blur on the right a narrower gray blur in the center and another wide green on the left the idea is to stay on the narrow gray bit".

If you notice, anytime you see a shot from the chopper on a straight, the bikes are pulling away. They can outrun the damn helicopter by about 50 mph. On some longer straights the bikes can top 200 mph. The 130 figure they give is the average. There are curves they slow down to 30 or 40 mph. You should check out the "Sidecar TT". NOT ME!!!!

I go to the Isle of man TT races every single year missed two only and that was because of the pandemic. It is beyond anything you will ever see. The ultimate ride MAN ROAD BIKE there's nothing like it. Until you get to the sidecar races and if you think the single riders are nuts you haven't seen this The smells it has been going for a very long time and sadly we had deaths this year. The Isle of Man TT, the deadliest race on Earth it started way back in 1907, the Isle of Man TT (originally Tourist Trophy - a test for “touring” motorcycles) runs on a unique 37.73 mile Mountain Course. The course consists of public roads specially closed for the event. The TT is always held in the last week of May and the first week of June. It takes balls to do this but WOMEN do it also. Joey Dunlop is my all time favourite rider he had 26 wins until his death in 2000. There is nothing like this. People want it banned but they don't understand because no one forces them they do this willingly and the spectators that hand on the verges over the garden walls it is a one of a kind and that's it they know they could die both the rider and the spectators yet we all still go. P.S THERE IS A BETTER CLIP THAN THIS IT SHOWS THE RIDE FROM THE SPECTATORS VIEW check it out

What makes thew races more dangerous, the races are "Time Trials" The riders don't race each other, they set off at 10 seconds intervals, and it's the fastest time that wins. So the riders are flat out out, on the edge all the way around.

Grew up rural South. The Fathers all bought us dirt bikes because we lived so far apart. There were 8 of us and we knew exactly where the "do not cross" line was 'cause we crossed it...a lot!! We would get cops to chase us for fun. Played Cops & Robbers and to get a "tag" you had to make them wreck (no disputes). We built ramps and were jumping 2 car lengths at 12 y.o. Took farm tractors and built motocross tracks in the fields as soon as crops were in. I bought an XR 650 and had no problems until this woman coming toward me decided to make a left. I did the Superman impression across her hood. Been 4 years and I still "wish her ill". 🏍🚓😉

This ain't no Harley's with Ape Hanger bars! This is some serious SHIT! "I just cruise. I don't need a helmet." Yea. I can believe it. I bet you sit down to pee too. 37.5 miles per lap! Over 130 mph average speed! On public roads! Top speeds over 200 mph! Walls and trees whizzing by their heads! Getting air over jumps! Every lap! The Seniors do 4 laps with a tire change and refuling during the race! These Dudes are straight up MEN! REAL MEN!

You need to watch Peter Hickmans onboard lap record. It's mind boggling , and leaves you exhausted just watching it. I've been to the TT a few times now and still can't explain how special and different it is. You just have to go , then you'll know.

You should check out videos about Dr John Hinds, the flying Doctor, an absolute legend heavily involved in the emergency response side of the TT and Irish road racing. Alas no longer with us.

Its not a tragedy to die doing something that you love! Tragedy is living through it & never enjoying it again!
