i dont think unconditional love is enough to maintain a romantic relationship. the unconditional love some of us are lucky to get from our parents is one of a kind and the unconditional love you get from a romantic partner can be broken if you dont treat your partner with respect and care. if you do mess up they might always love you but that doesnt mean theyll always be with you.

This is such a timeless classic! In 1975 when this first came out I was 14 yrs. Old,and didn't realize how much this song would play a part in my adult life.45 yrs.later I still get a little teary eyed listening and remembering all the people that graced my life!! Ron Isley voice is so smooth and hypnotic, and hooks you from the first verse!!this is the"Royal Family of soul music"!! I guarantee that you can't find a group that is responsible for millions of babies born all over the world!!! And this is the song that was playing when I got my first taste of being in love! So please all you young black musicians know that these brothers paved the way for you to make the kind of music you choose to make today!! Stay Blessed and be kind and give each other love instead of complaining and killing one another please!! Rarebreed Am I!!

50 years ago in May, 1973, my classmates and I graduated from Enterprise High School. These are some of the songs that we listened to. The whole world was in front of us. Now, 50 years later, some are wives, husbands, parents, grandparents, great grandparents. We have lived from the middle of the 1900's and going on toward a third of the 2000's. We have lost classmates, teachers, friends, parents, siblings, spouses, and even children and grandchildren. I can close my eyes and be back in 1973, with bell bottoms, halter tops, afro's, listening to these sounds and others. To my classmates of Enterprise High School, Class of 1973, I again salute and love you.

It's 3:30a.m. My sons & I buried my First & only true love. We married after I turned 18. My B-day was July 18, 1975. He passed away on his B-day Mon. Feb 10, 2020. He was born 2/10. We had good times & bad times. God knows I would do anything to have the bad times as well as the good times. We had a love neither of our families understood. We married, we parted, we divorced. We remained the best of friends. I guess because we were friends, then lovers, then Husband & Wife. Apart we looked out for each other all the time. Not because we had sons together WE JUST LOVED EACH OTHER, in our own special way. I love u, Cash, forever. This was one of our songs. Show ur love to those u love, while telling them. Action really does speak louder than words. God bless each one that reads this. XOXO

I wasn’t born til ‘85 but my mom played this old soul and lots of funk music when I was growing up. She pointed out particularly when I was a teenager and started listening to hip hop music how many songs sampled the beats! 😅 She just passed away in September at 68 years old from heart disease, but I am very grateful that she showed me this beautiful music 😊

For my eleventh birthday, my father gave me one of the first boomboxes. It had a cassette player with AM/FM stereo sound. I loved it. My mom took me to the record store to buy some tapes and what do I choose, The Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder, I was a white girl who loved Soul and Funk music. I loved the way the music made me feel when I listened to it.

I was a troubled teenager looking for love in the wrong places almost died and almost lost my mind from my painful childhood, but It was the power of music that gave me hope and strength. The God in me gave me a sense of peace. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior that's where I found out I'm worthy to be loved by God and he taught me how to love myself. Once I learned how to love myself then I could truly love people. This song is beautiful I dedicate this to God for his true love towards me❤️☺️🙌🏼🙏🏼
