Alec's potion cards don't flip by themselves. It requires the use of the Combine ability. Notice they don't have the flip symbol in the upper left corner, unlike Gregori's. I was not sure if you realize that 2 swords can be used as 1 shield and vice versa. I think you caught on that you don’t remove chips from cards and flip them until the end of the round. You gain rewards at the of the battle, but you flip the enemy card, to show it's defeated, as soon as it reaches 0 health. Gregory's Chain ability doesn't happen on his first ability activated during the round, but it does on all subsequent activations for the rest of the round. Order of play is an important strategic consideration. Watch the cost on the cards.They are frequently different on each side. Some were activated using wrong chips or not activated because you didn't realize you had the correct one. For example, Alec activated Yellow potion with a sword chip, but it required a shield. Later he did not activate the Rema Blade, which would have ended the combat a round earlier, while he had the right chips to do so. And dudes! Just a strategy suggestion for use when you still only have the starting cards plus Combine, first round of combat. Alec really should use empower to give Gregory a green cube. This way Gregory draws more chips and has enough action points to activate more abilities. Remember that Empower DOESN'T require that potion has been activated to be used.
