As Hitler faces frustrations on all fronts, the Japanese are held at bay by the Americans, despite heavy casualties, the Allied leadership faces a new challenge. Churchill and Roosevelt had always been comfortable working together, but Russian leader Joseph Stalin added tension. With the imminent invasion of France, the plans drawn up at the Tehran conference were full of diplomatic negotiations.

Interesting and informative. Excellent photography job making it easier for viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Historians did a very good job presenting actual facts from fiction.Orator presented the documentary very well. Class A research project!!! Rough fierce combat operations on both sides. Special thanks to the allied forces/resistance groups who fought/perished/survived fighting knowing certain death/debilitating wounds were often possible. That's determination to succeed & conquering the axis powers.

Mussolini’s ineptitude in war led to the loss of entire armies, first in the disastrous campaign in Greece, then in North Africa, then in Ethiopia, with perhaps the largest debacle was northwest of Stalingrad where the Italian 8th army of 219,000 men was most part destroyed…

WWII vets and families are the Greatest Generation. When they are no longer with us, there will be no one left with the memories that would temper the excesses of current leaders. This is why roughly every few generations, there is a world conflict. The lessons that were learned are forgotten. Peace is to be cherished and worth compromising for.

We have a problem. At 37:50 we report an RAF bombing attack on Berlin .. including the air ministry. Given that the same building is now the Department of Finance of the Republic... and that the British Air Ministry was not specifically targeted I assumed the cliche about the two air forces was true.

Good video a lot of people don’t realize that Mussolini was a communist before he decided to modify communism and call it fascism. The only real difference between communism and fascism is that communism was an international movement and fascism was nationalistic. And every country which follows a socialistic path ends up in a “dark era of oppression

The role of the USA in the Victory of 1945 is negligible. For three years they waited and sought to bleed the USSR. On November 6, 1943, at a solemn meeting dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, at the most tense time for our country, when the fate of the Fatherland was being decided, Stalin said: “The main reason for the tactical successes of the Germans on our front this year is that that the absence of a second front in Europe made it possible for them to carry out this operation without any risk to themselves. And how did the United States and its allies fight? For example, at the same time, when millions of soldiers and officers of the Red Army bravely and wisely fought near Stalingrad and on other fronts of the Great Patriotic War, the Allies carried out the only operation on the European continent, insignificant in terms of the number of forces and means involved. On August 17, 1942, a landing force of 5,000 Canadians was landed in the area of the French city of Dieppe. The Germans, of course, quickly defeated the Canadians: 900 Canadian soldiers were killed, about 2,000 were taken prisoner. Such operations only raised the spirit of the Nazi army, but had no effect on the battles on the Soviet-German front. Having a significant superiority over the German troops in forces and means, the Allied troops began to retreat. “In a matter of days, Hitler’s troops broke through the weak defenses of the 1st American Army on a front of up to forty kilometers, by December 22 they captured the cities of Saint-Hubert and Marsh and, soon reaching the Meuse River, found themselves at the line of Dinant, Liver, without introducing for the development of this offensive no reserves. Thus, having penetrated 100-110 kilometers into the territory occupied by American troops, they expanded the breakthrough front to one hundred kilometers, dividing the British and American troops into two parts. The world glorifies the armies of the USA and England, despite the fact that they did not learn how to conduct military operations in 1944. On June 6, 1944, and in the following days, Hitler did not take any effective measures against the landing troops of the United States and England. He clearly considered their armies incapable of fighting the troops of Germany and he threw all his forces and means against the advancing troops of the Red Army...

The gratitude of every home in our Island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abodes of the guilty, goes out to the British airmen who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, are turning the tide of the World War by their prowess and by their devotion. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

When a person breaks his own record, he uses the hidden and special powers inherent in his personality and discovers even more the power of his faith. One should tell oneself that this is the place where I sow the seeds that will lead to my growth as high as possible "because man is like a tree of the field": The roots anchored deep in the earth hint at our strength of faith, the trunk and the branches from the tree remind us of our physical and mental abilities, and our most beautiful fruits are our good deeds and especially our wonderful children!

Surtout qu'il était inimaginable à cette époque que ce qu'ils ont appris pouvaient avoir existé.
