I downloaded and purchased this product yesterday, and had the fortune to play it today. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!! And Lovely demonstration of this beautiful plugin.

*Stunning quality, by far the best. I have Ivory 3 now, pure joy to play* Thank you very much.

i wish you'd add a close mic option, the side mics are close but they don't offer that punchy warm intimate sound that lots of people like, great product nonetheless❤

Thank you Geoffrey for this explanation on Ivory 3 and for your stellar work throughout the years.

I think that this is one of the best investment that one could make in piano VSTs.

I'd like to suggest an option/switch to correlate the release samples to the {Note off} velocity of the controller. It seems that the release sample only take into account the initial {Note on} Velocity from what I can hear. Thanks. (Also using a VPC1. Great MIDI controller, 10/10.)
@SynthogyVIDEOАй бұрын
Release samples in Ivory are determined by a combination of note on velocity if played staccato, and then by duration (time after initial attack) of the note release.

Please please please add the ability to route the mic positions to separate outputs in a future update. I'm tired of having to load 4 instances of Ivory III in my template in order to apply my 3rd party reverb and effects on this amazing virtual piano. As standard as it is for these plugins and libraries to have their own built-in EQ, reverb, and processing, I prefer to always have the option to use 3rd party plugins that I purchased.

I absolutely love Geoffrey's custom presets, they sound gorgeous! Is there any way to get a hold of those?

That should be possible, yes. Stay tuned to our website for when we can make them available.

Thank you. There is now, finally a deep dive tutorial into Ivory 3. I have two questions after watching. 1. For the silent key velocity, if you set it so that velocities below the threshold don't trigger notes, are you still able to hear any hammer noises? The Ravenscroft 275 has special "silent strikes" samples and it adds to the realism in my opinion. Currently Ivory 2 is completely silent when keys are pressed below this threshold. In this video, I couldn't tell since you were speaking at the time you demonstrated it. 2. For the sustain, currently Ivory 2 triggers the soundboard samples when you press the sustain pedal before you play the notes. The pianos I have from VI-Labs enable you to trigger the string resonance when pressing the sustain pedal even after you press the note. Can Ivory 3 trigger the soundboard when the pedal is pressed after the notes are played? Thanks
@SynthogyVIDEO8 ай бұрын
1. No, velocities below the silent key threshold are silent, though this is an interesting suggestion. 2. Yes, the soundboard resonance works when the pedal goes down after the notes are pressed. This is how most pedaling is performed in the classical tradition and Ivory has done this since version 1.

Great video and performance. Thank you. Just a question. Can you record wave format on standalone Ivory mode?
@SynthogyVIDEO3 ай бұрын
The Ivory Standalone host does not have a recorder. Most DAWs do render in WAV format, though. We were using Logic in this recording.

I own many Ivory 2 pianos. This is the first video/demo in which Ivory 3 sounds better than Ivory 2. I suppose I'll have to upgrade now.

Hi my pc is intel core i9 10980XE with 18 cores and 3.00 GHz. Can I run ivory 3 without problems? Thank you
@SynthogyVIDEO6 ай бұрын
Hello Nicolas, the processor speed is a bit below our specifications, however, the number of cores and large cache should be able to run Ivory 3 well with a few tweaks. For more technical information, please write us at support@synthogy.com

Did I understand correctly when watching the video that the standard speed curve is suitable for Kawai pc1? I'm asking because I also have Vpc1 and I always have problems with setting the appropriate curve :(
@SynthogyVIDEO5 ай бұрын
Yes, as you can see Geoffrey is using a VPC1 in the video with no change to the default curve. There is also an "Ivory" touch setting on the VPC1 and you should use that as well. If you continue to have a problem, contact our tech support at support@synthogy.com

When I turn Half Pedal on, the pedal sound is completely gone. Any idea why this would be?
@SynthogyVIDEO7 ай бұрын
With half pedal turned on, pedal noise tracks the velocity of the pedaling. As on the acoustic instrument, with slow pedaling the pedal sound will be soft, fast pedaling pedal noise will be loud. You may have to adjust the volume of the pedal noise and the pedal tracking compared to when half pedal is off.

uhmm. What is equal energy in RGB engine?
@SynthogyVIDEO7 ай бұрын
Equal Energy in the RGB engine compensates for a decrease in perceived performance intensity. When equal energy is ON, performance intensity is slightly increased to match the piano's natural energy output. In other words... it's another way to change the response of the Continuous Velocity to Timbre of the RGB engine.
