I love this. 46 hours of power isn’t enough but design wise it’s fantastic

I can’t wait for a Lake Tahoe 41 Pilot.. it’ll fly off the shelves.

I think the contrast of the crown and pushers are good. Matches the case back and buckle hardware.

Color-matched pushers and crown would be nice, but they are high-wear touch points, and I can't see the PVD holding up over time.

Can’t help but notice the color of crown and pushers sticking out every time I look at the watch. In my opinion should color matched them with the case.

Even having them black would help

I think black would be way too overpowering of the monochromatic approach they have made.

You can’t afford them anyway, don’t lie

I think the Ti details on this watch, as well as the BP and QP Mojave Desert models, are awesome. They really don’t look out of place in person. It just adds a little bit of contrast to the sand color that pairs well especially when you look at it as a whole, with the titanium case back and pin buckle.

Looks perfectly fine the way it is. Working with ceramic is hard enough, trying to create pushers and the crown with the knurling would be next to impossible given the level of detail. I think the market has spoken and it’s fine how IWC created it as the Mojave 41 is extremely hard to find.

Correct me if I am wrong but it's 41.9mmm making it pretty much a 42. Tricky advertising 😊
@ahmadghufran8117 Жыл бұрын
The ceramic models at 41.9mm whereas the steel models are 41. So you’re right that technically this is a 42mm watch, but it falls in line with the 41mm collection with a different case material.

The 41mm pilots chronograph is a weird one for me. As an owner of a 43mm chrono, when the 41 was announced, I thought for sure I’d sell my 43 as I always found it just a tad too big. But when I finally got hands on with the 41, I was incredibly underwhelmed. It honestly felt like a toy in hand and there are some details that is hard to overlook. The hour hand is weirdly short and stubby on the 41mm. The pushers and crown is the same dimensions as the 43mm so it looks large on a 41mm case size. The sub dials look extremely cramped compared to the 43mm and the thickness is almost the same as the 43mm. So its thickness is not really proportional to its case size imo. I’m happy that more people can get into IWC with the new sizes but I honestly believe this pilots chronograph design works best in a 43mm case size. Even if it’s too big for you, do give it and try and compare, you’ll be surprised. It’s only an extra 2mm on the lug to lug. Pilots watches do tend to wear big anyway.

i got 42mm Laco Graz Erbstuck $3K Customized (lug to lug 50mm), 12.8mm thickness, level 2 patina look - that BLOWS away any of these sissy IWC watches - you are welcome

This is my favourite colour of the ceramic IWCs Great to see it in a smaller version Such a shame the crown and pushers look so off compared to the rest of the case If these had been matching and depending on the price it could have been my first foray into IWC chronos. As it stands the woodland and Miramar versions are my favourites

2 issues: thickness and the pushers / crown need to be ceramic at this price point
@patrickdaly5988 Жыл бұрын
Perhaps it’s the processing here, or the new size but really surprised by how much of a pink tint that watch has. Not a fan. Doesn’t seem to go well with the strap now.
@marcusflack1523 Жыл бұрын
Could be the lighting setup. Don’t be deceived the ceramic color is identical to the older larger version. You will see in this review a variety of lighting conditions that allow you to see how the color reacts rather than simply making a perfect lighting setup that only gives you one way of viewing the watch. I think its color is so incredible.

It is a modified 7750. Numerous watch companies do the modified 7750, because they don’t want to invest in a new movement. The Breitling B01 series is far superior and in the Premier half the price. I like the IWC case, but the price for this thick 45 power reserve watch is ridiculous. I don’t care about the desert scenery.
@patrickdaly5988 Жыл бұрын
I love this watch, but the price coupled with the movement is ridiculous. For the money they’re charging there really should be something better eg. Better power reserve and naturally anti magnetic ( which with help with thickness)

Most of their movements are unfortunately underwhelming and not up to today’s standards.
@wisamal-hakim5531 Жыл бұрын
That’s the main reason why I don’t take them too seriously as contenders for an actual purchase. They just don’t stand up to other chronographs out there for the same prices or cheaper
@monjet1801 Жыл бұрын
Sorry but IWC is waaaayyyy overrated. Why is this watch 15mm thick? Why not be honest about the ETA movement? This brand is going to the Michael Kors route real quick…. Should’ve kept Habring in the company.
