Fabulous machining. Intrigued by how you put the angle from the diameter on: Is this by manually moving X & Y or do you have a computer control? Also are the parts anodised and screen printed to give the beautiful finish & lettering?
@TomsToolRoom8 жыл бұрын
I made the piece on a rotary table so once i had the math figured it was simply crank the rotary table to that point, then use X and Y to machine the edges. Parts are anodized and the lettering is done on a laser engraver. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Please excuse my ignorance, as I've only found this video as a KZbin suggestion, probably as I've watched several of Mr San's other videos. What is this wrench actually doing please? Is it threading the rod at the end, and it so, what is the drill in the bloke's left hand doing? At first I thought it was just another take on a ratchet wrench, of which I have several bought from the supermarket, but I don't need to use a drill with any of them .... It certainly a thing of beauty in it's own right however!
@TomsToolRoom8 жыл бұрын
The wrench is powered by the drill and uses a through hole socket. The wrench is designed to power nuts down long studs or threaded rod.
@tonywells54548 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tom! Also useful where there's not room to swing an ordinary wrench I should imagine.

I have no idea what I just saw. looks like a 1 size wrench. if that's all it does, then what's the big deal? I have wrenches that fit all sorts of sizes.
@tonywells54548 жыл бұрын
I've just read what happened to the bloke who made the Bionic Wrench until Sears had their own version made in China, causing him to have to lay off 31 workers - nasty !!!
@greypoet28 жыл бұрын
It looks like I'm in the minority so I have to ask, what does it do?
@TomsToolRoom8 жыл бұрын
Its a drill powered thru-hole (DPT Wrench) tool that runs nuts down a piece of threaded rod!
