Notice how, at 02:58, Phil says, "I got a wife and baby! (PAUSE) Maybe two!". This was a reference to the fact that his wife (Alice Faye) was expecting another baby, and sounds like Phil ad libbed the "Maybe two!". Back then, pregnancy was something to be hidden. You couldn't even say the word "pregnant" on the air. So, this little in-joke was very unusual for the time.

Jack was great to the troops through out his career yet he always found a way to poke fun at himself more than forty years later he is missed thanks for posting these they are more than just hilarious comedy they're a piece of history

@@davehallett3128 Jack didn't do as much topical humor as Allen or Hope some of their older monologues are dated if you don't know the current events of the day having said that you probably have a better feel for history from these programs than a hundred text books
