I am intrigued by the remark Mr. Billingsley made at 9:14. In February,1944, the program was sponsored by Grape-Nuts. It would be nine months later that the show would be known as the Lucky Strike program. I bet that this episode was the first time that the phrase 'L.S.M.F.T.' was ever mentioned in connection with the show. What an eerie coincidence.🤔

Jack guest-starred on Groucho's "BLUE RIBBON TOWN" the previous evening [CBS/February 19, 1944]- with a similar gag concerning their sponsors {JACK: "Groucho, you're supposed to pour milk on my Grape-Nuts, NOT Pabst Blue Ribbon beer!"/GROUCHO: "You take care of your sponsor, I'll take care of mine!"}.

I'd like to see that episode, if you know where to watch it. All I can find is the one for next week, Feb 26th 1944
