1. I understand my attraction even more to Jeff Goldblum 2. I have only watched it one time. I was age 10 and my family watched this together on my mom's bed. My two siblings and myself. I had a meltdown watching this movie cried for maybe 30 mins after the ending. This movie has stuck with me in so many ways.

One of my best friends has the nickname powder from this movie. It was one of my favorites from childhood. Met my best friend the first time and I forgot where I was because it was like being transported into my favorite movie. He was spinning poi at the time. It was so magical.

Jeff Goldblum is the new and accidental Borris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, and Peter Lorre all rolled into one, except with an added pinch of serious goofiness and lack of acting abilities. In fact, he's so amazing that no matter which role he's portraying he always (but ALWAYS) comes across as HIMSELF --- Now, THAT takes talent!

In the next couple of scenes.. He stated what had happened was impossible.. So as a teacher, a human he couldn't mentally believe what he was seeing, he became in awe or the typical flight or fight or freeze response. Notice once he realized or accepted what was happening he did try and stop it by knocking the Jacob's ladder down. What would you have done? He couldn't even believe what he was seeing!!!! He even stated that "It was like the electricity was coming outta him through the whole building" Meaning they all felt it. And possibly in the first few moments physically COULDN'T do anything

I have at least a few things to say about that, even if this is a 6-year-old comment. Due to my experience as a child, I often hear rumors about other people from other kids who assume it to be true, just because they heard other adults say it. Take that and the experience that just happened, and some people will try not to approach him because they believe all that stuff is true, but they are only taking it at face value, never understanding things on the other shoe.

I swear, this movie is kind of a pre cursor to Doc. Manhattan from The Watchmen but an alternate version. Instead of being transformed into the subject, Powder was born of it. But this was one of my favorite movies growing up.
