Saw The Jam in Newcastle in 1980 whilst at Sunderland Poly. Started the day in my local, The Ivy House. 45 years ago. Not been back to Sunderland since 84. Jeez!!!!

@@granto6738 Yes. My second time I think. Had seen them once before at Erics in Liverpool in 77, and ended up seeing them about a dozen times in all. Also saw them live when the played The Tube a couple of years later.

I m from Sweden I used to be a Mod ( & I still am in heart ), travelled to London and Carnaby Street as often as possible and the Gift was the first album I heard with the Jam, in 1982. I just loved it. Carnation, Ghosts, Happy Together.....etc etc - Made such an impact on me. I regret never seeing them live - but this is brilliant. I hope to be able to see you one day.
