I was so happy to run across these guys. Such a beautiful sound, brings me back to the 50's, and the golden era of rock and soul.

Hunter is the man. He's a great showman who sings great songs with a great band and a wonderful voice. Love him.

In most any other era, this would be charting. Instead, this guy toils in semi-obscurity. Thank you, Daptone, always. I'm grateful.

Wow flashbacks to my youth , and my 10 years in Colchester , Essex. .. this is a great song by a fabulous singer . Very proud he comes from Essex. I left the town in 1978 but had family to visit for many years later , who are now gone and I had 'something calling ' me to leave as well. Really touched me this. Colchester Town Hall (0.26) The street market and Jacks ("Cheap Jacks' known locally ) a legendary household goods and a whole lot more store. (0.45) Castle Park (0.54) Im going to take a punt on Hilly Fields ,Lexden with the dog. Colchester Castle (1.53. ) Part of the Roman Wall (2.21) the rest looks like London. Great video and great song. KTF. R

I got turned onto James Hunter from Public Radio, then, caught a street festival show performing in Rochester New York USA. Traveled some 400 miles from "Finger Lakes" region New York to small venue in Goshen Indiana USA to a small audience of 70 people. Just adore the guy. I like his interview where he talks about crystallizing his "calling" while on subway in London wherein young commuter playing Sam Cooke music on his boom box - everyone in the car wasn't complaining

When I heard this voice/recording for the first time I thought I've missed the decade of the 60ies...! Great voice, old fashioned in a very good sense! Soul at it's very best!!!
