Welcome to the whizards of restorations. Garage Yoshida has quickly made a name for itself in the GT-R world thanks to the meticulous rebuilds they offer to the most demanding of customers. We’ve heard of their meticulous processes through Built By Legengs, an outfit they closely collaborate on with their bespoke projects. So it was inevitable that we would visit Yoshida-san and his wife and see how they break down their restorations and custom builds as well as the various options they offer. The most fun part of the visit was learning a bit all the shortcomings that the R32, R33 & R34 chassis had and how Yoshida addresses each area to guarantee longevity and the upmost performance and most importantly, piece of mind. I wouldn't consider Garage Yoshida to be building new GT-Rs. But rather restoring old GT-Rs back to showroom quality. Hopefully one day we''ll have companies that can buy the actual licenses from the manufacturers to remanufacture and sell the body, body parts, chassis & drivetrains of desired JDM sports cars. Similar to how many American manufactures are giving licenses to companies to remanufacture the most desired vintage muscle cars

well about the odometer, that's kinda tricky. i would say depending on the amount of work done to chassis should dictate if it can be changed. so for example; brand new engines(change it) vs used engines (should be slightly adjusted)

Thanks cool video, it was very interesting to watch DAaaaaamn that red R 32 shell, what paint loooks so cool...To me if you have 100% restoration, body, suspension, paint, engine, drive line etc, then that is new car, so why not reset the odometer

As long as there is like a paper in the glove box or a metal plaque riveted in that says like Restored at 130K, Set to Zero just for the knowledge and history.. I pride my 2000 y8 civic engine that is turbo with 370,000 miles, only rebuilt the head and slapped into a 97 ek DAP with 150k on chassis. Just fun info to know.

The cycle of time is funny, back in the day saving a rusted out bucket was laughed at taken on only by the most dedicated savages. Now we are taken aback and revere these efforts. Love the coverage of these places we wouldn’t see otherwise. Good shyt Dino.

It is just crazy how fast and meticulously they can restore/rebuild the GTR's. I bet Yoshida can disassemble any GTR model while sleepwalking.The endresult is just stunning and really worthy to be compared to a car right out of the factory. Thanks for giving us a look into his process and garage!

3:28 it's absurd how expensive they have gotten, a Nissan, and then another $200K in restoration cost. A mint turbo E36 2.8L or E46 330Ci would be 90% of the fun for 10% of the cost, and look almost as beautiful.

"GUYS" in spite of a new Build !! , The car "MUST HAVE new FRONT AND REAR shock TOWERS' , IF ITS A BNR32 . BCNR33, BNR34 GT-R Chassis FOR A "NEW" CHASSIS BUILD , MINIMUM , ON THE CHASSIS , THAT Garage Yoshida., is DOING to there Chassis , ...... ON TOP of that it MUST ME A BRAND NEW ENGINE BLOCK / HEAD / ENGINE FROM NISSAN / NISMO with out any "HEAT CYCLES" though it , AT ALL , As a Rebuilt Engine is NOT NEW at ALL / .. THUS in my opinion to suit a NEW "Nismo" DASH CLUSTER / OR A REBUILT DASH CLUSTER SAYING AS NEW / ( 0 K/M )

ALSO i'm a Car importer to NEW ZEALAND For Customers / needing / wanting a Classic JDM CHASSIS / Sports cars etc SO I'm I know what I'm talking about Customer wise for Cars .. Bnr32 GT-R'S , BCNR33'S , R34 GT-RS ETC , and the Toyota Scum , .. As i would put it of the 2JGTE Chassis With the Supra's etc As I would put it , .."been only RWD"
