I just did my hypershift paint myself.. $9,000 paint job, did it for about $2,000 but even then,, Im TERRIFIED to drive it.. And now Im conflicted about getting PPF. But I think a full PPF would be ideal at this point living near a big city and all the chips and scratches it would get. But covering this beautiful paint in PPF almost feels like blasphemy to me! 😂

@@JonHop1 Good PPF shouldn't make the paint look worse. There are a lot of inconsiderate people out there so protect your paint

@@ruisilva3317 I didnt mean it would necessarily look much worse, and I know its to protect the paint, but after spending so much effort, time and money on the paint, it almost feels like a violation to put ppf over it lol.. But thats not exactly a logical way of thinking either.. lol.. I really enjoy paint correction and buffing/waxing the paint, but sadly, here near the city the roads and highways are just so bad, so I think its inevitable that Ill have to use a PPF at least on the front end to protect it from rocks and debris. And yes, you are right, I sadly have to worry about other people too scratching the paint.

Love the color so much I painted my 2001 STi Swapped Subaru Legacy that same color a couple months ago. :) It was the JDM S401 color as well so I had to do it. Awesome choice and great work!
