A typed suicide note is an automatic red flag. I'm literally 2 mins in & can tell you the married man, baby's father, did it. The entire note was focused on "clearing his name. "

That was my 1st thought also, which makes me think he just "snapped" and tried to cover it up sloppily, perhaps he had been thinking about it but had planned it for another night or thought about it but wasn't sure if he was going to go through with it because 8 and a half months is pretty far along to do this, kinda like the last minute. I think perhaps he thought he might get away with the baby if she wasn't going to put his name on the cert but when she told him that night she was going to put it on, or perhaps threatened to expose him he snapped and decided to do what he had been thinking of there and then. Whatever happened it's so heartbreaking the poor woman and baby. He really is evil😢

It's refreshing to hear how the police didn't take the parents' concerns w/ a grain of salt. I'm sure so many would just assume that the mother was just confused, or that Jennifer _had_ lied about the father. I've never been one to think of police as corrupt, but I just found it really nice that these people on the job weren't willing to take any chances, even if their friend and coworker was being suspected.

@@damnea her baby was fully formed or should have been and so is a baby not a foetus. Therefore, he killed two people. But I'm sure the limit on abortion is 24 weeks because its before the nerve endings form which is where pain derives from. A foetus is not a baby whether you believe it is life or not so call it what you will but it is not a child yet regardless of your or my beliefs. However, at 24 weeks the foetus isn't even formed yet. Not fully. If you're so positive that the minute a woman is pregnant both hers and the foetus (if it can even be describes as that at such an early stage) are equal in value in terms of life then ANSWER THIS QUESTION "You're in a fertility clinic. The fire alarm goes off. You run for the exit. As you run down this hallway, you hear a child screaming from behind a door. You throw open the door and find a five-year-old child crying for help. They're in one corner of the room. In the other corner, you spot a frozen container labeled "1000 Viable Human Embryos." The smoke is rising. You know you can grab one or the other, but not both before you succumb to smoke inhalation and die, saving no one. Do you A) save the child, or B) save the thousand embryos? There is no "C." "C" means you all die."

Common misconception - you can actually commit suicide by aphysxiation n, you don't have to actually "hang yourself" as long as there is pressure around the neck. Anything can be tied to anything if your neck leans forward itll kill you in minutes. Many people think you have to actually hang yourself but that's quite incorrect. I knew from the first 2 minutes of the video though that she didn't kill herself.

@@heather_doestruecrime People literally do that shit on accident while doing sexual asphyxiation. It is an "accidental" death. They aren't intending to die, but IMO they aren't smart enough to realize they will probably die eventually while doing it. They are usually not hanging off the floor. They are usually leaning into something that will tighten around their necks. I hate to call dead people stupid, but its pretty fucking stupid.

The interview/interrogation was like that because they were talking with someone in law enforcement. They needed to make sure he would give them the info and wouldn’t instantly call for a lawyer. It’s actually a really smart move on the interrogators part. I’d suggest watching some of “Jim can’t Swim’s” interrogation break downs here on KZbin. They’re really good and give you a good insight into interrogation techniques and why they use them. I just wanted you to know because you thought they were being really unprofessional (it seemed to really bother you) when they were actually quite the opposite! I think you’ll also like the videos as a true crime fan.

This case is just depressing; she didn't deserve this nor did her unborn baby boy. 😭 I'm actually a bit surprised, in a good way; there have been quite a few cases where a Police Officer commited a crime and other officer's who worked with said officer helped cover his/her ass, corrupt. In this case however once the officer found out who the baby father was he transferred the case to another police department even though he worked with him, probably even covered his back out in the field and most likely hung out outside of work. HE took his oath serious and transferred the case out no matter if it was his coworker which I just find amazing, it could've went the other way and I'm just happy it didn't and this family will at least get some peace and justice.

To address the original questioning, officers and detectives are usually very open and friendly with those who are being questioned. It makes the suspect comfortable and relaxed, believing that the officer will be nicer or more understanding. After time, officers ask more serious questions to ease in.

Wow so much evidence, I mean dude was a COP and there was so much evidence. You would figure him being a cop that he would know exactly how to set up a crime scene, then again he was probably cut short when the other officer came to check on him and he showed up "to earliy". I hate this happened to this poor girl and her baby my heart goes out to her family.

I couldn’t imagine losing my baby at almost 9 months. Ffs, I went into labor when I was 8 months pregnant. It was able to be stopped, but how sad to think that a baby that can survive is killed. Especially when, at that point, your baby is constantly wiggling and moving and reacts to your voice and other voices around you. So devastatingly sad.

You should do a case on the girl who was "reborn". Here are some vague details I know (some might be REALLY off cause I don't remember all the details): (Edited thanks to Jasper) Candace Tiara Elmore was born into an abusive household. She was taken away and was adopted by an apparently nice lady. The new mom abused her and believed she was a terrible child. She took the child to a "therapy session" where she would be "reborn". She was wrapped up in blankets and pillows were placed on top of her. They were chanting things like "GO AHEAD AND DIE!" and "QUITTER!". They sat on her while she cried and screamed. She was vomiting and execrating inside of the sheets. Over the period of 70 minutes, she slowly and painfully died. When they unwrapped the blankets, they found her lying in her vomit. The mom saw that she was blue and not breathing. She called 911 and died in the hospital. A very cruel case 😬
@jasper3706
@jasper3706 5 жыл бұрын
Most of that is accurate, but the "therapy" (violent attack) lasted 70 minutes, and they didn't bury her body, when the adopted mother saw that her skin was blue she called 911. Presumably because none of them saw anything wrong with suffocating a child to death. Her name was Candace Tiara Elmore (or "Candace Newmaker" when she died).
