DB has an intensely complicated theology that he uses to justify his position but for most of us it’s beside the point. The idea that the Divine obsesses over who’s gay or bi whatever and cares whether we have same sex or opposite sex partner is absolutely ludicrous! Of course people can believe anything and many maintain ludicrous beliefs but the Divine/God that I love and worship is not petty and small minded and accepts, receives and guides and supports us. DB looks at everything through his own particular Christian lens. And to be serious many Christian denominations do support same sex marriage and thank God for that! Unitarians, Spiritualists and Quakers have such a different way of approaching spirituality and our relationship with the Divine/God. The bible might be the first word on our relationship with God for some but certainly is not the last word. I personally derive rather more sense and peace from the Santana Dharma or Hindu path but that is an entirely personal matter.

If DB seriously thinks CELIBACY is “Good News” for gay and bisexual men seeking loving relationships then he is out of his tree and DELUSIONAL. I do not worship the god of CELIBACY. The god of Celibacy is a false god.

Dude. I liked a lot of what he said... A lot of what this guy says sounds good and reasonable, even loving... but it's not biblical... as a former addict and any number of sins I have been redeemed from... this and any other sin CAN BE DEFEATED AND MADE RIGHT BY THE GRACE OF CHRIST. IT ISN'T JUST THE WAY IT IS, AND IT ISN'T RIGHT TO PREACH IT FROM THE PULPIT! ALL THOSE DEGREES AND YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE POWER OF GOD TO DELIVER AND MAKE HOLY? PUT OFF THE OLD MAN, AND GUESS WHAT THE NEW ONE ISN'T GAY. It's to put on Christ bro, not advertise as a gay preacher, is His power and new identity and righteousness not enough? Or do we want to project ideas we haven't let go of? Me thinks you've got some things to address David. Like we all have. Lord have mercy on us. In Jesus name amen
