And speaking of the US OST, some Sonic 3 tracks honestly sound like they could belong to the US soundtrack of Sonic CD (specifically Ice Cap and Launch Base (especially the latter)).

Ice Cap is exactly this theme, and it have copyright, for that reason the only re edited Sonic 3 & Knuckles version was in 1997 for PC and not have the music of Knuckles, Carnival night, the ending and Ice Cap, 3 by Michael Jackson and Ice Cap by Brad Buxer (Possible) Sonic Origins will have Sonic 3 & Knuckles, if Sonic Origins have the original soundtrack is because the problems with MJ was resolved.

When Sonic Origins comes out we will see the truth: If it have those 4 original songs it means that they solved the copyright problems, if they change those 4 songs it is because they did not solve it. When Sonic Origins comes out we will be able to know who is right, only wait until 2022

I would have loved to hear Hard Times actually used as the Ice Cap Zone back then but due to the limitations of the Genesis/Megadrive not possible which is why they had to remake it. Thanks to Hard Times surfacing on YT you can put it on while playing Sonic 3 with the Ice Cap Zone music off if you play it on an emulator.

I don't think the vocals are actually being heard, instead you're hearing a side effect of the knowing what they are already saying, when music is played a certain way it can still sound as if words are being said, your brains essentially putting the words in place. Either that or yeah he just heavily reduced the sound of there voices
