Glad to see a down to earth review. This is a good competitor at the $200 bracket but nowhere near the $500 - $700 range that another reviewer said they were.

This iem is super enjoyable, and doesn't sound dead. I do see this as better than a lot of more expensive iems, in fact it is prettier than most 1100 dollar iems that I have recently reviewed. Sounds better than some 600 dollar iems to my ears. The tuning is so important and needs to be focused on not the driver count or price.

I haven’t heard either. I would say probably not. They are very good, and enjoyable but not the greatest iem ever.

Thank you, was curious on your take. I am not sure I was convinced either way. I think your hesitancy on the vocals and treble had me wondering if you like more energetic vocals than I do. But thank you, lots to consider in what you said.

​​@@Jaytiss forward vocals to one person is shrill and shouty vocals to another. People who dig that lean, upper mid boosted sound signature found in Chopin, Variations etc. will always disregard sets with relaxed pinna and increased midbass thump. The Super Review guy for example loves the Chopin and gives it 5/5, while, he gives the OG MiM Dark Magician (a set known for magical endgame vocals) a mere 3/5 because it has a running that is opposite Chopin. ToneDeafMonk didn't like the Chopin and lived the heck out of the Pula. All that to say, I think the Pula will land extremely well with some and lukewarm with othersb depending on if you like. That lean, clean intense vocal presentation or just isn't there in the Pula but that's exactly why it's right up the alley for some! Thanks for your review!

I just got the Pula PA02 this morning.. these sound fantastic! Not a big known brand, I used the ThieAudio Monarch II EQ to listen on my phone, and computer. With a FiiO Q3 portable DAC/AMP these IEM's absolutely sound amazing. I won't be needing any new IEM's until I either get a UM Mest III, or a FatFreq Maestro. "98% of where you want to be.." I agree 100%. Good review.

Honestly Chopin is a fantastic set. I made the mistake of underselling once. I won’t again. It completes with many much more expensive iems.

Which has smoother treble the pula or the chopin,i get treble sensitive around 3 to 8k

Have you tried tip rolling on these? I suspect wide bore tips like TRI Clarion would improve the treble significantly.

I didn’t they weren’t bad in treble at all. Just seemed to lack some higher end detail. It’s a really solid set for the cost.

TRI Clarion tips actually don’t do these justice. The stock tips are the best to my ears after trying quite a few. This type of tuning isn’t meant to be highly detailed. There’s plenty of detail, but it’s so buttery smooth and pleasurable. This set easily beats my Fan 2.

Is the power requirement for this set closer to Performer5 or the Chopin? Can't use the chopin on my phone for max volume where the p5 has no problem getting intense, on the laptop I need a dongle for the chopin for same reason.

It’s tough, Apple air pods are very good and probably worth having more. Depends on what you use them for.

It doesn’t have the highest detail of an end game set. Some things feel a tiny bit of clarity. It’s not bad but not as resolving as some more expensive sets. I loaned mine to a friend but I think it’s a great set for the price. I wish could give you more detail about it, but it’s a great set.

I personally don't think so. Pula isn't great technically,, but it's not bad. IF you own the Hidiz mp 145 and love it, might not be worth the upgrade. I found the mp145 a little dark, but good.

There is a legit copy of this Pula02 that is CKLVX by Myer Audio. You can try to review them side by side so you can compare it 😁 They even copied the box just removed the engraving of Pula 😅

Best is subjective obviously, but I think it's a heck of a set. The CKVLX 41 is basically the same set with a nicer cable if that is of interest to you.

I think so. I respect the ea1000, but I think the Pula might be a little stronger for my library and what I like. The bass feels a little cleaner and more linear. The PR driver had a lot of bouncing around that I didn't like, but the tone of it was good.
