Fun fact: In PLAAF (People's Liberation Army Air Force), the classification "J" (歼/殲) stands for "Fighters", and "H" (轰/轟) stands for "Bombers". So this special plane right here, labeled "JH", is a blend of a fighter and a bomber. However, there is classification for "Attackers" too, which is "Q" (强/強), as we can see from planes like Q-5A, Q-5L. Therefore it's very interesting that they decided to use "JH" for this plane, but not a old fashioned "Q".

@@kingghidorah8106as far as I’ve heard from pilots, no it isn’t. It doesn’t turn as well as fly-by-wire jets like Su-27, but it handles crisp, responsible and precise, so much so that pilots actually scored higher during ground attack competitions in J-7A than in Su-34.

It feels like one: people trying to create a sense of security thinking that the opposing nations are incompetent, and two: to make their own nation seem more competent. I already have it almost spaded. And I gotta say, for an 11.3, it's my new favorite jet. I've done everything but the tomcat, and it's one of the only planes that can dogfight in a full up tier (30min of fuel). I definitely recommend it to anyone doing China

lol, the spey egine is the main feature of this jet from the start. That was the early period of China and western countries' honey month, and for the first time we can import some nice western engine, and we decided to design a brand new jet using this new engine, and there you go, we got the JH-7.

Why? PL9 isn't even used extensively as it's mainly aimed for export. Early production J-10 would be using pl8/pl11, which is why ppl hoped it'd come for a long time. But then the J-10A uses pl8/12, so unless gaijin is ready with ARH missiles...

Some knowledge of the JH-7. This JH-7 project was originally started at 1978, and it was not designed to be a successor of the Q-5. It was designed for navy for the start. Back in late 70s', we had several naval fights with Vietnam on China south sea, and we found that we don't have proper Air support jets that can traval that far, So we decided to design a jet attacker with that have long range, decent speed and maneuverbility to breakthrough and can carry good anti ship weapons. Not long after the project was started, our relationship with the western world changed dramaticly, and we can get quite a lot of devices and technologies from the western world, including the spey engine, So that we decided to use spey engine for this jet. But we don't have that much of jet designing and producing experience Back in those days, so it took us a much longer then we expected time to finish it. It finally equipted the navy at 1994, but due to some design problem, It crashed quite a lot at the beginning(it killed 6 pilots in total during the testings). Even thought it's not reliable, but we still need it, because it's the only way to counter the American's carriers around China back in those days. The design company Keep adjust and improve their design and made the JH-7A to overcome the ealier problems, and finally became the core of our naval aviation for near a decade. So don't wonder why it don't have raidar missile or tv guided any ground missile(actually it has Russian made KH-29, But gaijin didn't apply them), cause it's designed for anti ship, just like the German naval tornado.

The part about JH-7A doesn't have air to ground missile simply isn't true, as it's one of the first Chinese aircrafts to actually have the capability to use them, KD-88 for example! The true naval 'anti-ship missle carrier' is the JH-7 base model, only having non-guided munitions and anti-ship missiles.

Have you tried lowering the fuel load on the MiG-29SMT and trying again? it seems to turn like the older MiG-29 if you lower the fuel load to 30 minutes, which is the same as the old MiG-29, then, you can bring a drop tank to make up the difference.

Just a rule of thumb. If missile in the air then stop afterburning. Obviously it doesn't take a single second to cool down the engine but it'll get rid of the literal plume of fire

sadly gaijin give us the fake PL-8,indeed it shoot PL-8B in reality,PL-8B anti hot ability is better than AIM9L,but in game PL8 is a shit compared with AIM9L.And this plane can hang with a lot of different AGMs,such as KD-88,KH-29T,and even some Anti ship missiles like YJ-83.sadly gaijin all dont give to it.And it can also use some radar guide missiles,sadly gaijin all dont add to it.

That's probably because China wasn't the first to design a 3rd or 4th gen jet fighter. Hence they had time to get inspiration from somewhere else. And yes, they did copy the MiGs and the Su-27, but they improved on those designs as well😅

It's my impression or the P-47 M turns better than the Bf-109 K4? I did kinda got lucky yesterday when I was in a 1v1 with a P-47 M in the K4 but I think I might had messed up.

K4 better sustained and at low speed, P-47 probably better at high speed. K4 also has better power/weight below say 5-6km so the K4 should handily win the dogfight That being said I'm not a massive thunderbolt fan so I might be biased since I am a 109 enjoyer

​@@sparkling925I'm asking because I'm not used to fight the P-47 M in the K4, only in hyper maneuverable planes like the G.56 or the Yak-3U that can basically 1 or 2 turn him and I know that the P-47 M turns decently well for a P-47.

@@pedromedeiros4955 The 109K will complete a 360 degree turn on the deck starting at 550kmh in 13.3 seconds. The P-47M does it in 13.7 seconds. The 109K turns slightly better.
