Loving Jim Harbaugh!! Loving Joe Ortiz and the magic they possess. The fact Ortiz can't find a star running back on waivers is there are none to be found. Same goes for recievers. Time, a diamond is not formed over night. As far as the O.C. personally I will give him the season to see where he ends up. Remember, the players play. However, the coaching on the other side of the ball is really, really standing out. Good show! You earned your like. 👍

I couldn’t agree with you both more. I just couldn’t understand - for the life of me - why Roman was designing patterns for 3rd down situations that were 3 and 4 yards short of the sticks. Harbaugh has been a Godsend for this team and us fans. I’ve been a diehard fan for 62 years. My dad began as an usher at Balboa stadium and worked his way to being in charge of the press box. I watched Jack Murphy stadium being built in my backyard. Never once in all those years have I felt such a sense of confidence in our coach, save perhaps Don Coryell or Bobby Ross. I am so grateful I have lived long enough to see this day.

The future of the Chargers is undoubtedly bright. I just wish we could play the Chiefs this year without injuries piling up right before the game. First time around we didn’t have either of our tackles, Bosa, or Derwin. This time around we’re missing JK and possibly Ladd, our 2 best offensive weapons. Hoping for a similar score to the first game, but this time as the victor. Go Bolts!

I said this on a different post but, I think before jim harbaugh, some if not all of our stars treated the game as a business. That's because of the losing and the bad coaching/ownership. Like "if I'm gonna be here, I better at least get my money. This is the business side of football." That would make sense with how keenan didn't want to take less money. What I have seen with my eyes is how the players act like a high school team (they're not playing like one, finish reading the rest before saying that I'm calling our team a high school team) after wins. What I mean by this is the joy, the laughter, the smiles, the memories. When you're playing high school football, you're playing because you love the game. The odds are stacked against you, making it a career, so you play for the fun and to be a part of the team with friends, etc. The time when the only thing you win is per se bragging rights but still takes all the risks to lose everything. When you played to win the game and do it with the person next to you. You play to win because of the person next to you. This, from what I've seen, is what jim is doing. He got the guys having fun and smiling, and with the "for hes a jolly good fellow" thing, I think it shows that the team is now playing for each other rather than for themselves. Previous years and the Bengals this year is our example of team success is better than individual success. Tho, individual success will normally sort itself out with team success. One of the greatest team sports stories I've heard is the steve Kerr, Michael Jordan fight story. As good as Jordan was, his greatest ability was holding his teammates accountable for being better. Because he knew, even as the goat, you can't do it alone in a team sport. I see this mentality in this team. Everyone is holding everyone accountable.

OC needs to mix it up. Not every play needs to be the deep ball. Use the QJ screen game more. He can YAC better. Gus was running fine. He was over 5 yards per carry. We just stopped using him. We can do the 3rd and Ladd when we need it. We don't need back to back 20 yard throws that take too long to develope. That's why Herbert was getting sacked. Also, why don't we roll Herbert out so he at least has the option to run?

Of all the positions there are available in the draft, the running back position is the most difficult to be sure of getting one that will give you immediate success. Thats why I believe it’s better to draft a tight end with a high pick, and look for someone to fill the running back need with a pick in the later rounds. Especially because there are a lot of good running backs that will be available this year. I’d be happy with investing a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a running back, and then maybe another one in the last couple of rounds. I trust Harbaugh and Ortiz know what to look for in a running back, so they will be able to find one after day 2 that will be a solid player for years to come.

I think the Chargers are over-achieving, due to Harbaugh. As fans, we complain about this or that, and we are probably correct in pointing out deficiencies. I think the team has even surprised coaching and management, that may be the reason we didn't push more chips in on the trade deadline for WR or TE. We are not perfect, but that was to be expected. I think we know now exactly what we need to address in the draft and offseason, in the meantime enjoy this overachieving team, how far can they go with a subpar roster? Exciting...
@Electric_Funeral10 күн бұрын
I give Harbaugh an 89.93. 😅 mostly because of the Greg Roman Experience. It’s not just the hire, it’s the lack of adjustment and the inconsistency of hiring a “run culture” guy and then completely abandoning the run game. I’m also taking a point away for that Bermuda Triangle route concept putting 3 guys standing in the middle of the field bunched together that got Herbert sacked in Atlanta. But everything else is muah! Chef’s kiss

Why it seems like Hubert doesn't throw it down field like he did his rookie season is. Because he isn't throwing it 40 plus yards down field as much. Highlight reel. Is what people remember
@jeffbounds70259 күн бұрын
Herbert might have to look for Palmer more in the passing game, just because he is more familiar with him. Justin will have to be very accurate because Palmar doesn't get separation like he used to. Use Ladd on 3rd downs if available, mostly. We have to give the running game more of a chance if we are going to do anything, that includes giving Vidal more chances, let him get into a rhythm.

8 wins with a year where they’re patchwork is definitely a noticeable feat. I don’t like the Harbaugh stubbornness. He needs to adapt to this modern day league. This isn’t college ball, and this team isn’t the 49ers 10 years ago. That being said, whatever Harbaugh is feeding the team is working. The team is not complete by his envisioning, but he has the boys playing hard. He won the locker room quickly which speaks volumes.

Herbert cant throw to who is not open .Its Greg Romans wack offense We need someone who can actually get down field to Throw to. QJ is taking up space I wonder what he shows in practice That warrants all the play time he gets Im sorry But Ortiz is part responsible for not addressing our receiver room . I just Saw a Guy named Josh Reynolds got waived by Denver i looked st his highlights he looks just as good as QJ might be worth a Look .
@brandonmitchell63519 күн бұрын
You made two points. I don’t think it’s Greg Roman, it’s our receivers. Our receivers can’t get any seperation. It’s more of a personnel issue. Not saying Roman is perfect, but that’s my take
@keroutson9 күн бұрын
@@brandonmitchell6351 - Agree, the Chargers have a bottom tier receiver room. Ladd is their only wr who consistently creates separation. Perhaps the original post isn’t taking into consideration that Hortiz inherited the worst cap situation and a roster that had many areas to address. Hortiz can accomplish only so much in just one off-season but overall he has done a great job. This draft class is better than any of Telesco’s during his tenure. Just my two cents that’s maybe worth a penny!
