Wow the other day I prayed for Joaquin Phoenix that he will find the truth and be saved and now I see this! I prayed that a man of God would come his way and tell him about Jesus. While I prayed that I thought that it is quite unlikely that someone from Hollywood would meet true disciples of Christ who will tell them about Jesus. But this video is such a confirmation to my prayer. I praise the Lord! He truly hears us! May Joaquin Phoenix’ heart be softened for the Gospel and come to believe in Jesus 🙏🏽✝️ Thank you for sharing your testimony! I praise the Lord for what He has done in you! I was an atheist when I saw that movie, so I definitely related with his plight, and his need for revenge and justice. Now I honestly couldn’t care less about vindication or “justice” on this side of eternity.

Wow! WHAT a testimony! My wife and I find a lot of life lessons / value in films, and Joker was one that left a significant impact on me. I know a lot of Christians may say you shouldn't watch it because it's a "dark" movie, but we both tend to find movies that tackle heavier things more meaning and thought-provoking. Life itself is heavy and tragic, so I think its unrealistic to always avoid the nitty gritty. Additionally, similar to this sermon, we also draw parallels to biblical themes.

I am no longer a Christian, and it's still a good movie. It's almost like the two have nothing to do with one another, and the pastor here is just using Jokers fame to draw attention to this video.

@@acebailey2478 yeah, no normal person is supposed to seriously relate to it. I'm sorry you're no longer Christian, but I hope you'll reconsider soon! I was always an atheist until I actually did some research and came to the undeniable conclusion that Christianity is historically, scientifically, and philosophically true. The gospel really did happen. making conversion the only reasonable course of action for me. I told God I couldn't force myself to believe without evidence or logic, and He delivered all I needed. I recommend reading the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" co-authored by Dr. Frank Turek. It's a great read, specifically made for non-christians.

When you become a Christian you become a Joker to the world... it's a tough road of being cast aside, ignored and hated, life becomes a never ending struggle. Funny how many parallels there are to the movie.

Some Christians suffer, some live lavish lives. It's almost like the earth does not care and the outcomes are kinda random. Christians are not the main characters, they are not the heroes. They ain't nothing special, just humans, just another religion.

Praying for you dear! Most of my life I didn’t have friends who were true believers. In the last two years I’ve gotten to know true women and men of God and we’ve become such close friends! We are like a big family 😍 and one young woman of 42 years old, who found Jesus last year, is also part of this group. At first she felt a bit weird that she is the oldest amongst 20 year olds but we’ve realized that age does not matter too much. Don’t give up praying for friends who are followers of Christ. I am telling you it is a game changer. Before meeting them I was more of a lukewarm Christian but their fire for the Lord is so contagious! My relationship with the Lord has increased so much because I have surrounded myself with people who also share the same passion which is our Lord Jesus, which is life changing 🥹🤍✝️ I pray that the Lord will send people into your life who will help you draw closer to Christ; true followers of Christ who will edify and bless you. I pray he does get saved. I saw his brother River and his sister Rain in Pensacola Florida perform in their band Alexa’s Attic back in early ‘90’s just before he died. Was a small venue, The Night Owl, just a couple hundred people. Always loved River & Joaquin’s movies.

Batman is my favorite super as well. I had a similar childhood to you, except in my case it was a neighbor who my mom and stepdad didn't really know. I lead a very destructive life for many years once I became a teenager, but I've gotta admit, I wish I could forgive, but I don't know how to do it. If I saw him today there is no chance I'd be shaking his hand and saying, "it's all good and I forgive you." Truly, I'd let him know he needs to call the police and go to prison because I don't want to go to prison instead.
