How can Royce and Joe not understand the frustration of Joell and Crooked? It's been 10 years since their album released. Joe has created a successful podcast that takes a lot of his time and has publicly announced his retirement from rap. Royce is literally best friends with the most successful rap artist *of all time* and therefore always has the opportunity for a Collab album with Em or at the very least features. Shit, Em's even gave Royce production credits on his recent album; financially he is incredibly secure. On top of this, Royce has disagreed the idea of a slaughterhouse trio -- this puts the situation at a deadlock. What do you guys want Joell and Crooked to do? Wait another 10 years? Furthermore, let's not forget Joe's antics when it comes to contracts. He sold out his own homies (Mal and Rory) on this very podcast, so why is he acting like he has an unshakeable integrity? Joe also went back against the Shady deal despite all other members being happy with the terms. And finally, this idea of self-funding would just be a nightmare with Joe ... He'd clearly want the lion share of the deal cos it'll be promoted by his platform. The album was fire. Clearly they had something to say and they were able to package it up with honesty. Royce saying that it was garbage proves that he isn't judging this shit objectively.

Easy… because Mal has changed his reasoning on why everything went left multiple times. In other words, the reason he left had nothing to do with solidarity and everything to do with trying to force Joe to give into their demands by them now showing up to work. Which is exactly why he was mad at Joe for replacing he and Rory with Ice and Ish. They threw a wrench into his grand plan. I love civil discourse. Being able to peacefully agree/disagree is essential. About the Slaughterhouse snafu: It seems to be a lot of "miscommunication" and semantics. Joe telling his audience of millions of listeners that he's never going to rap again but then saying he didn't tell two individuals specifically that, is nuts. He's been adamant about not rapping again for 6+ years and NOW all of a sudden it's a point of contention? C'mon man, don't be that guy. If a woman you liked told 1,000 people that she slept with 100 men, you heard her say this, you tell her you're not talking to her because of that and she retorts with, "When did I tell YOU that I slept with 100 men?" You all would call her crazy. It's horrible semantics. Also, if you're going through a lot in life and that's your reason for not touching bases with people and they make a move on their end from what's been given at face value, you can't fault them. The onus is on the you, not the people constantly trying to receive an audience. Joe saying people that began to disagree with actions aren't fans is wild too. I could love you from the beginning of something and then have a change of heart over the course of time due to your actions, you can't then tell me I never loved you. That's crazy. You also can't think (especially in this day and time), that you could shelf projects for 10+ years and then release to massive approval. It's a clear case of nobody will love your child the way you will. Joell and Crook aren't off the hook either. You can't take a jointly owned intellectual property and run it into the ground without approval from the whole collective, no matter how you may feel about it. The move was heavy-handed and short-sighted. I'm speculating but even if they felt they needed to move this way due to any extenuating circumstances, its still wrong.

If you tell fans you're not rapping....Doesnt mean you're never rapping again. The circumstance might not be conducive for you to rap. So it's not crazy for Joe to tell fans that while leaving the door open for slaughterhouse. Just like Jay-Z is "retired" but still drops music. But he can do it at his leisure...Joe is allowed to do the same without it being twisted by his friends to excuse the shady ish the did with the album and their brand. Crook and Joell are the only ones moving foul in that ordeal !

I agree with all your takes. But if me and you start a business and I invest all my life savings. You then decide for whatever reason you won't do it again and you have other opportunities to do something else. What happens to my investment and sweat. What if that was the best thing that happened to my career and its eating at me for 10 years. 1 person holding 3 people up. Same way you had a right to freeze my life for 10yrs because you don't honor contracts is the same way I have a right to burn it all down. No one is at fault but all entitled to do what makes them happy..

@@georgeo6654 This was something hammered home when I was in school for Audio Engineering. They kept preaching, "know your contract in and out because there's a thing called "Creative Contracts". They could write the same thing 3 different ways and they only need to catch you slipping on one of them". There should've been a contingency set in place to deal with a situation like that and if there wasn't, you just have to take it on the chin as bad business and do your best to sidestep something like that moving forward. A Contract will save you where trust/good faith would fail you.

@@kingkeio1027 well since the contract is not in place between 4 of them then everyone is in their right to act as they please. Just like Joe did. Morality conversation can be interesting depending on who it favors. Joe definitely does not have any moral standing with anyone. It's sad people gravitate to him because of chaos and not because he is a good guy. People like Trump too and tune in to watch the shit show.

I mentioned in the Rory and Mal pod that Mal isn’t seeing it what it’s for. They could have made an album and not using the slaughterhouse name for clout… they already made an album a couple years ago. They could have did the same thing. And why not call Royce and Joe and let them know something. They wanted the narrative of them being blindsided and wanted the reactions.

As a longtime fan of slaughterhouse the whole situation is just really disappointing. Tbh I’d given up on the thought of a four man comeback so when I saw this was coming out, it was a mixed bag of being disappointed but also curious. Now further back story is coming out and it seems as if the idea of a comeback was closer then any of us fans knew… just sucks man. Kind of like if they finished the avengers series with them just having a domestic and walking away. 🤦‍♂️ Not angry, just disappointed. And just a side note: damn right the real fans care about your feelings. Mental health takes precedence over music everyday.

@@willt8848you're bugging. Royce's take keeps the same exact energy as Joe's has over this whole roll out. Or you just haven't been following this all close enough. For me I've watched royce's behavior leading up to the album dropping vs his demeanor after hearing it and he was clearly waiting to give them a real chance to make their case and get their point across but after giving it time to play out and listening to their verses/body of work, his position went from hurt over the situation and surprise that they were choosing this route, to just completely understanding that Joell and Crooked simply don't respect him or Joe. "If it's really Rise and Fall of Slaughter house to you, the put it on paper, sign off those rights to the group. Put that on paper." His take on Crook's interviews says alot. THim willing to go in person to the pod and visibly take Joe's side in all of this says alot. And his take on the album from how they presented the roll out to how they actually performed lyrically on the songs and put the actual project together says alot. ...he made it clear to me how he views both these guys as friends & artists ---> that's vulnerability. Vulnerability to me creates a emotional lens and that gives you the opportunity to see more cleary someone's stance on a issue ---> that's clarity.

Nigga saying a whole lot of words without giving any clarity and completely dismissing Joell and Crooks side which is ego and narcissistic on his part. Crook acquitted himself much better on Cosmic Kev than Joe and Royce has and did. Crook ain't say nothing bad about Royce but Moist da IG is getting over the top emotional for whatever reason.
