@@jonathanhernandez2986 Thank you ! I use what I call the toilet paper argument. If there were no guys to count the toilet paper,no guys to stack the toilet paper, no guys to advertise the toilet paper,the guy who makes toilet paper in the basement for 10 bucks an hour would still have a job because none of the people that work in the corporate section of the toilet paper business has anything to do with the amount of people who will always need to wipe their azz. One could almost argue that the guy in the basement that actually makes the toilet paper should be making more than anyone else in the building. Corporate logic is usually just justification for people who don't know how to tangibly do something to get paid off the people who actually produce hard tangibles

@AdamEdn
@AdamEdn 2 жыл бұрын
Only if you discount a lot of MJ’s talents and duration. MJ has multiple different iconic /signature attributes that have yet to be duplicated. For example, if I asked you to impersonate the dance style of one who comes to mind? What about the fashion / stylistic aspect? How about filmography / visual production? Acting? CB is a purer vocalist but I think once you account for the fact that MJ created 3-4 different vocal styles ranging for 5 decades - it’s not really that one sided.

49:29 JOE PLEASE. Chris Brown is great... But Michael Jackson was also a director & has the best music videos of all time. Michael Jackson was also a stage producer & curated a cinematic experiences with all of his concerts. Chris is Michaels son & as such most of his work is just derivitive (not a knock it's just true). Chris has used Michaels music videos as inspiration on many occasions. Michael Jackson's musical output was stunted because of the time he was in but remains an untouchable catalogue. Michael Jackson also reminded people of the injustices of our time which (for me) as an artist is absolutely necessary and Michael had people singing hooks to war song and Earth songs that "shouldn't" have been possible. I don't think we HAVE to compare them but people don't acknowledge Michaels talents beyond music. He was a visionary & had people watching 10-20min short films. He was an artist in more ways than music & his voice is 1 of 1.

What is the point of comparing Mike and Chris on their “overall” talent? It’s a dumb comparison to make in the first place. When you hear those two names in a comparison, you think of dancing and singing, period. And judging those things, MJ blows Chris out of the water. Secondly, the fact that Ice has 73 pairs of Allen Iversons is crazy! Who knew they even had that many different color ways? 😂 Lastly, who the hell is going to a party on the strength of Ice being there that he can charge an appearance fee? I really need to know!

@@seismic6435 You can grab any two random names out of a hat and say one is more talented than the other based off the number of things they’re good at. The ONLY reason people compare MJ and Chris is because they’re musicians who have very similar styles. So to compare them and then use EVERYTHING but music to say why one is more talented than the other is silly to me. A better comparison IMO would have been Jamie Foxx or Childish Gambino or Will Smith. Musicians that’s have crossed over into other fields and have become great there too.

@@dakidobf Exactly. They are trippin hard. Mike made music from scratch beats, producing and etc. Changed the whole dancing world. There would not be a Chris without MJ. MJ still being played throughout the world. Chris old songs are kind of getting played here in there mayybe.

@@dakidobf agreed. Gotta be careful putting that kind of comparison out because you’re right, it makes no sense, but people will take it and run with it. Music and dancing is the only relevant and logical comparison to make between MJ and Chris. And I love them both but you can’t deny MJ was the innovator, Chris is the imitator with his own twist on it.

Michael was an artist, as us Chris. Michael could draw ✍️ google it and some drawings are leaked. MJ used his voice as part of the beat in his music, Stranger in Moscow”, Working Day and Night”, he beat boxed his ass off, KZbin it. He perfected and mastered his craft and created a lane for CHRIS, and the like. Most of Chris’s moves are reminiscent of MJ. He made And created Thriller. “Yo, is dumb!?” -Remy Ma voice.
