How many average couples make enough money where both don't have to work. We are talking about working, paying for a household, saving money for emergencies, and saving for kids' college funds. Let's keep the conversation in line with what the average salary is nowadays. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the median income for the average American was less than 55K in 2022, while the mean was about 71k. And we are not going to factor in how he average minority makes less than yt people. So maybe this conversation they are having is for rich folks and not the regular folks. Even when I was growing up, my family was one of the only ones on our block where both parents didn't have to work in order to make ends meet. My mom stayed home, and my dad worked, but that wasn't the case for other families
