You can use contain effectively if you are running in front of the other player and just tap it a bit. It just helps to align you with the ball a bit when you just tap it when running with the attacker.

I jockey when I receive the ball in the midfield also, so I can adjust position as I receive the ball, it also sets up my passing as well since I can hold it and guard it before I deliver.

Just check in your controllee settings under defence which but is assigned to jockey and use it, together with the button you are using to sprint. It doesn't necessarily have to be L2 and R2 by default

It's so strange when Puskas or pelé no one can get close to them it's like a king your defender became so dummy even and he could't takle the ball... I think defending feel good against bad teams more weak against strongest team...it's EA secret to mak some expensif card unstopable. In offline other people playing legacy using L2 and square it's became so hard in the boxe to dribble you had to make smart and quik décision evry defender can tak the ball i feel legacy is way better....it's like in PES evry player is under pressure and have less time to make the passe.
