Sikabung-kabung Nature Tourism is a natural tourist attraction in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The exact location of Sikabung-kabung Nature Tourism is on Jalan Besar Kutalimbaru, Sikabung-kabung Hamlet, Deli Serdang Regency.
This tourist spot is suitable for tourists who want to escape from the routine and hustle and bustle of the city, whether with friends, partners or family. The distance from the city of Medan is around 39 km with a travel time of 1 hour 9 minutes by motorbike. The trip from Medan can start from Jalan Jamin Ginting towards Simpang Tuntungan, and continue towards Jalan Besar Kutalimbaru. The journey continues until right on the side of the road before Fort Tanduk Benua there is a sign pointing towards Sikabung-kabung. After passing through the paved road, tourists must pass through the rocky and sandy road typical of oil palm plantations to the parking lot which is located about 1 km from the main road. The journey from the parking lot will continue with trekking down the edge of a slightly steep cliff for around 500 meters to arrive at Sikabung-kabung Basecamp. The entrance ticket price to enter the Sikabung-kabung tourist area is IDR 10,000 per person for weekdays, and IDR 15,000 per person for holidays. The entrance ticket also includes parking facilities, bathrooms and camping areas provided by Sikabung-kabung.
The manager of the Sikabung-Kabung tourist attraction, Ahmad, explained that there are rules for using camping areas. "There is also a camping area for those who want to camp. However, note that they must be married. If young people come, they can camp, but they have to be crowded together and the tents are separated between men and women," explained Ahmad to Tribun-Medan.com. Apart from that, tourists are prohibited from bringing non-halal food and pets to the Sikabung-Kabung tourist spot for mutual comfort. Apart from that, Ahmad also revealed that his party was opening a new route for visitors who wanted to go hiking. Currently, the Sikabung-kabung natural tourism manager is repairing the road to get to the savanna. "Later the hiking will end in the savanna. From the savanna you can see two mountains. Mount Sinabung and Sibayak. Then the hills," he explained. For the tariff for hiking trips in Sikabung-kabung, visitors will only be charged as much as they can.
