My suggestion for their next song would be BTNS(Bakit 'To Nangyari Satin). Their collaboration with Janine Teñoso on Wish Bus was so powerful. I just don't remember if there were subtitles but regardless, their emotions shows through their voices and facial/body expressions.

“Hatid” (to bring, to escort) is a customary romantic gesture for Filipinos especially for the more conservative generations. It’s a wholesome gentlemanly thing to do for a boy to take the girl that he is courting or dating to her home making sure she gets there safe (and of course to lengthen their time to be together). In this case though The Juans have taken it as a rather painful ironic theme, conceding. 🥹

Thank you for explaining this. I just finished watching and I was kinda nitpicking with the translated lyrics (HINDI TAYO PWEDE RV) coz I don't want to let Hurraira miss the full context of the songs she's reacting to coz their messages were so beautiful but kinda being lost when translated word for word. That's why context is more important than literal translation.

😫 it's so touchingly good. Imagine, instead of escorting her home, he's escorting her to her "happiness", wherever, whatever, whoever that may be. It's his final courtly gesture to his love. 😢

The Juans' songs are so relatable to a lot Filipinos and they're pleasant to the ears. Personally, I just don't listen to songs with these themes (HUGOT SONGS) coz I feel like I have to feel "broken" to enjoy them and of course I don't wanna listen to them when I am happy (which I am most of the time). But I feel like they deserve to be more popular than they are right now and deserve more dedicated fans, not just tons of casual listeners. Just like SB19, they are one of the most real and down to earth artists out there.

It's really a beautiful song. I'd say one of my favorites from them. The other one would be Bakit To Nangyari Satin with Janine Teñoso. Please check it out.
