The Julian Assange Show Episode 3: Marzouki (2012): During the course of the Arab Spring, the Middle East was shaken by a series of revolutionary movements that began in Tunisia. In this episode, Assange speaks to Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki on a variety of topics.

The debate is wide ranging, including their shared personal experiences of prison, the human rights record of the US, democratic Islamism, torture and secret files. But, despite their obvious mutual respect, Assange is able to challenge Marzouki, both over the censorship of the internet in Tunisia and on his position over the revolutions in Bahrain and Syria. According to the President, "we have to forget about the positions of Nasrallah and people like him. There is no good dictatorship. Dictatorship is dictatorship: corrupted, brutal and against the people."

An intellectual; a caring, thoughtful, good-humored man. A proponent of peace, for all of us and not just residents of developed countries. Withering away in a 6-by-9-foot cell since April 11, 2019. #FreeAssangeNOW

Yeah, no that's not exactly how it works. You can simple block the access to a certain web address in the internet and it's like it's not even there. You don't need to check each request since the request doesn't get anywhere in the first place.

I"m tunisian and this guy did every possible bad thing to promote and substain the didctatorship of the political islam ...now 10 years later come and look at the bad consequences of their governance ...we're suffering from all kind of social , economic and political issues . Besides he was just a tool in the hands of the islamists ...and he really had no big power as the interviewer said ...but he gave them legitimity and a wrong picture about a false democracy :)

But was he worse than Ben Ali? I was under the impression that Tunisia was one of the exceptions of the arab spring resulting in countries worse off than before.
