Depends on where you use it, but this tower looks done with multi-lane maps. Also might need a longer map in general to allow for vines to spawn. How do you guys feel about this change, have you gotten a chance to try it out?

I would agree that druid is weaker on multi-lane as x3x and x4x...but SotF is still incredibly potent cleanup on multi-lane.

Seems like there is no point to upgrade druid past x3x if you max out at one vine. No farming means paying 5500 to do nothing else in chimps for x4x.

x4x is still a decent upgrade. It has better range, damage, and pierce (even if you aren't factoring income).

But the 0-5-0 druid path vines are amazing to just wipe out any small bloon and damage every single moab class that appears in the map, for like, the whole map. He is not the main damager but the secondary damager for another tower, like a first strike or a carpet of spikes, or for any other single target/moab damager.

@ he just isnt worth it on a game mode that physically removes all of abilities. With monkey knowledge, you have 4 abilities with x5x, passive 1000 income every round, activatable cash and health, and activatable insta damage. For his cost, which factors in his abilities that you can’t use on chimps, there are multiple other towers that you can use that would be more useful. Its like using the hero Ben just for bloon trojan and the extra as ability

I've found the 140 is actually really strong when surrounded by a poplust army in a pure obyn druid setup. but that's a lot of money to make it worth using over what was good just on its own before

The issue with buffing the Druid of the jungle with attack speed is that it barely does anything, I god boosted it and with not even close to max it reached a cap. The spirit of the forest is fine since the capturing wasn’t the point

Nah it's mostly down to D tier on the chimps tier list BECAUSE the attack vines were the main DPS of sotf. I was surprised too but yeah they matter a lot

what middle path druid needs is ELITE targetting, bramble to hit the strongest (which 99% of the cases is ceramic), then change to first when a bloon is nearing an exit

At least on single lane maps x3x and x4x are...decent...functional. Its not a budget powerhouse anymore. x3x went form being able to get to high 40s in CT to only high 30s. To me, Spirit of the Forest feels like it hasn't really lost much. It still gives $1k a round and still makes anything less than a ZOMG into a non-threat.

I had a strat for bloody puddles that used it and I did a run before and after this change and I don't think it mattered that much. Probably slightly weaker on rounds that start off dense but fine otherwise.

It does stink that they made Jungles Bounty only have 1 vine, but it now being buffable, is nice and if you really want more than one vine you can still get 2 druid's of the jungle, and its actually a bit cheaper than just getting the Jungle Bounty really. So a strat change if anything, but not horrible.

Signifigantly worse on the maps signifigantly harder than most of the game combined specifically, meaning it behaves compareably fine like 80% of the time considering the entire game and not just the most sweatiest handfulls of things to do. Still is an easy BB ticket for the first 8 or more pages of maps with even half a brain that comprehends tower roles and which ones fulfill which.

@Car-rp8dg My intuitive sense of that kind of map distribution is why I essentially specified that it was still very good on beginner/intermediate maps, yes. Ethan was right the 7ish times he warned that Spice Islands is single lane and multilane performance was more heavily impacted than single with the changes. It is still good to specify explicitly in the thread that it is less reliable by massive margins on multilane, so fair.

Druid's still fine. Slightly less consistent on multilane maps. That's about it. The brambles are still a lot stronger than x3x. It still solos most midgames. Depending on how you target it, it could actually be more consistent on multilane maps, since before the second vine RNG was real.

SOTF is super gutted on multilanes apparently, though. Second vine helped a lot with its consistency, and apparently the attack vines were its main DPS. On maps below expert it's fine but tbf most things work on maps below expert

It's not a buff of any kind people. They didn't increase the damage, just the duration, which actually is a big problem! Before it could snipe bloons near the end but now it attacks insanely slowly and only single attacks. It's no longer as reliable.
