Beautiful! As a die hard fan of LIS & someone who considers the Jupiter II the BEST sci-fi spaceship of all time I am blown away at the level of detail & craftsmanship that went into this model. I would like to have seen more of the lower deck but just the fact that it was there at all & the lower window opened was surprising. I love the attention to detail including the door leading to the landing gear steps. Bravo on the job you did. Since I was a little kid in the 60s I've fantasized about having a real flying model of the Jupiter II complete w/working landing gear. Well, this is the next best thing I guess. Well done.

Thank you John! I also am a die hard fan. I have one more Polar Light kit and also a Moebius kit waiting on the shelve. The Moebius J2, particularly due it's size, will allow a lot more of customization and you can be sure I will try hard to get this build to the highest level.

Beautiful model of the LIS ship. Yours is one of the best near scratch built interior and customizations I have ever seen on KZbin yet. It woulda added a nice touch if you had included the famous Jupiter 2, nuclear engines start up sound towards the end.

Thank you for the kind words! Good idea! I will try to add the sound.

Blinking Lights Models this one does but not the one on the TV show I'm 59 years old and I grew up watching it when it first came out in black and white in the 60's no winders on the bottom I tell ya.

@@jimmyjennings4089 HI! The lower deck of the filming set had a window at the auxiliary control and in several episodes it stayed opened showing the stars. The full size mock-up, as well as the 4 foot miniature, showed the window, but closed. It can be seen in print screens taken from the episodes. Anyway, never opened.

Hi @@TheTheo58! Yes, you are right. The only occasion I remember to have seen the lower deck view port opened from the outside were on the footage of the J2 beginning to enter the Derelict. It was the small miniature, I guess. Kind regards!
