I can't fathom why juvie Stego needs to do that much damage. What happened to the concept of apexes being hard to grow? If they wanna keep adult Stego as strong as it is to be able to fight apexes in the future then fine, but they should seriously nerf its juvie and sub stage.

It needs the ability to defend itself, because defending itself is its only option besides stealth, and it’s better for gameplay to have a juvi that can tear things up, rather than encouraging the largest herbivore to stay completely hidden at the edge of the map for its entire growth period. If juvi stego couldn’t do this, then they would not be playing the game. There are already too many players that grow them that way. Don’t give them more reasons to.

@@peasantkyr a few months ago when stego didnt have its powerswing juvies were quite vulnerable and people where playing it anyway. nothing speaks against nerfing stego, its just necessary

@ people were still *playing* them, but the moment anything of significant size saw them, they die. So the option of staying away from literally everything, until you absolutely have to risk it, was a far greater incentive. This isn’t about play rate, it’s about actually having them **play the game** as they grow.

If the devs made stego like decently weak until its like 70% grown (50% like cerato lvl) then having exponential growth during the last 30% i think it woule balance it

I considered gatekeeping young stego exploiting, me and my clan have been purposefully growing bad diet stegos just so they’d grow slower, then go around griefing players with them since they were so op, then we’d kill the stegos when they got too big to be useful, but I think devs don’t even care about it

Me reaction when people attack an apex and get clapped and cry they got killed because they’re bad at the game, stego is the slowest, lowest stam, one of the worse regens, and can only hit you if YOU make a mistake Don’t attack it and it will never bother you unless it’s corpse guarding which that’s just an L on the stegos part anyways

Not the best true, but it's hardly like the stego had to do anything fancy either. Just sit around/aimlessly chase something until they die of dopamine withdrawals or make a mistake or flee. A good fg cera can chew out a bad sub stego, but a good sub stego will never die to even the best fg cera. It simply requires too many perfect attacks whilst the stego only needs one mistake, its a 8/10 deaths at best. This completely contradicts the whole "apexes are weak when growing" system that'd at least tame the insane apex stats whilst no predators exist, now stego is the strongest playable from 2000kg no doubt, maybe even from 1500kg.
