KC defensive backfield is pretty sick. Conner, Reid, and Hicks are like mini-linebackers with corner traits. I think you can put Cook in that same category as the starting free safety. Nazeeh Johnson is a CB/S. McDuffie is All-Pro-worthy. They're all 6-foot or above, except McDuffie, who's 5'11''. The next two corners are towering figures at 6'2'' and 6'3''. The whole group is right at the 200-pound mark. It's a big DB group. They're quick. They're fast. They're smart. There's so much position and role diversity that it's a nightmare for opposing offenses. They bring pressure from every angle. Their D-Line is well-schooled enough to run any kind of zone-blitz, without giving any indication of their intentions, pre-snap. They have one of the league's best LB groups. The only doubts I have about this D being as good or better than last year is the defensive end group. I don't know that FAU or Thompson are going to move the needle, this year. Starting the season with Pennel and Nnadi is good. Those two can help keep either one from wearing out. I think they might kick Chris Jones outside, more, this year. Position versatility of Danna and Karlaftis really help with that. No one knows when Omenihu will be ready to play, or how good he'll be when he does.
