I got these as my first pair of high quality speakers and while I have nothing else in the price range to compare to, I LOVE them.

Just bought the Tuk upgraded from YU6 and WOW! I didn't think there would be much of a difference but the details in the highs (probably due to the AMT tweeter?) is just on another level. Dynamics and separation is just amazing. Great review!

I have the Kanto Tuk's as my computer speakers along with the matching subwoofer.....was debating whether or not to move the system to the TV and use for movies etc.....do you think that set up is enough for a 12 x 15 ft room ? or would it be better to get the fives and would they be enough or the sevens or the nines for my TV speakers and add a 12 inch sub ? ANYONE can respond....great video by the way....thx....cheers from Canada

I'm trying to outfit my back room with speakers and run it off my amazing Tube DAP w balanced out, so I'm on the search. Which would you get out of the Tuk and the Klipsch Fives? I've heard the TukTweeter can get a little grating/metallic depending on material and the Klipsch can get a bit bombastic sounding. Both can now be found for under $500 which is quite a deal for either... You're right when you said everybody's making powered speakers now! I'm also checking out the Vanatoo T1E and the more upscale but brilliant Andrew Jones' Elac Navis ARB...the analog "manual" design of the speaker would suit my source beautifully. More competition than ever before!

My Kef LSXs dies out of warranty so I ordered the Tuk as a replacement for my desktop. They just arrived, but I won't unbox until the stands get here. Loved the review - just one note: AptX isn't better than CD quality - even aptX HD only comes close.

Rather than play the music, which I'm hearing through my speakers, I'd rather hear your take on how they sound and compare.
@audioarkitekts4 жыл бұрын
Mark James I get blowback on both fronts. When I didn’t play the music people complained. I agree with you I would rather not do a sound test, perhaps just a quick sequence to show what they look like flexing. I’ll definitely work on doing it in a way where everyone is happy lol

I know this is a speaker review, but how is the headphone jack? I recently bought a pair of TUKs for a desktop setup, and when using the front 3.5mm front port, I get a high pitched pinging through my headphones that's constant, and noticeable at all sound levels when scenes are quiet enough. Is this typical for a powered speaker with this feature?
@audioarkitekts2 жыл бұрын
No thats not common, I would return them and go with the SVS Prime Wireless.
@toastinghost16672 жыл бұрын
@@audioarkitekts I isolated the problem to being a speaker issue, and thought of trying out another pair and sending them back if it's an issue with the Kanto line. Minus the headphone noise, the TUKs otherwise sound great. Especially paired up with a SVS SB2000, I bought at an outlet. SVS quality really impressed me, tho. So I may look into that Prime bookshelf of theirs!

Hey Mike another great review man! I am shopping around for a pair of powered monitors for TV watching. Especially with football coming I would not have all of my amps on all day. Nice review. How they handle tv volume? Do I need to use their dedicated remote for that? And how do you rank TUK compared to klipsch the fives?
@audioarkitekts4 жыл бұрын
Edoardo Ferrarini Im going to be doing a more in depth look at the Fives, because I did a video on the fives, however I feel like I need to take a second look because the HDMI arc on the fives is a huge selling point. You should be able to use the tv remote on these however I will get back to you with a definitive answer

Jay Torr I did in the beginning I thought. The soundstage is very wide and you can literally be standing in different parts of the room and still be immersed. Mike, just some helpful constructive criticism. The music is just too overwhelming it's drowning you out!🤗😇 Also the Music Choice might be just a little too busy. I say this not as a hater but as the opposite otherwise I wouldn't say anything!😬😎 Considering I retired at 36 Now 51 and let's just say I have a little bit of time on my hands to watch these type of KZbin videos over the years, believe me I know what I'm talkin about.😉🤫😬 You have great things to say, I just want to be able to hear them without that very distracting overbearing music! Of course on your podcast with Mr. Godzilla 🤭🤭😝, you don't have any of that distracting music. I'm not saying don't use any music but listen to it for yourself.
