I was in Bombay when the famous match between India vs. Zimbabwe played. When India lost 5 wickets for mere 17 runs, I stopped watching the match and went out as I was so depressed. In the night when I was returning home in a train, I asked a co-passenger who was listening to radio commentary, at what score India was all out. He said it was 267ish and is likely to win. When I said WHAT, he replied Kapil Dev made 175 not out. Rest is history. We are so proud of the team. The team members are now aging and I wish them good health and happiness.

I was fortunate to have seen this world cup team playing during the world cup in the year 1983.i was a 12year old boy then and was so enthusiastic about our (real)heroes crushing the mighty west indies team led by none other than the great sir clive Loyd leading the great team with the likes of vic Richards,malcolm Marshall,jeff dujon,Michael holding..etc etc..
