after rewatching the earlier seasons of KUWTK, i noticed that their newer show doesn’t even feel like a reality show. it feels more like a docuseries to me. they show us the parts of their lives that they want us to see and nothing else. it’s more informative than it is entertaining🤣 edit: thank you for speaking up about D&G! it’s insane that the Kardashians don’t get called out more for working so closely with them. i don’t see how anyone could align themselves with a brand that’s openly racist, homophobic and misogynistic. the brand goes against everything they claim to stand for.

I can't stand that storyline of Danielle supposedly not being able to be present and Kim magically gradually getting more and more confident. All of this was set up so that she could say that she did it all by herself (even though D&G were saying no all the time lol) and later use it as an excuse to why she did it when Kourtney asks her. She wanted to set up an answer. Either the whole argument is scripted top to bottom or Kim and Kourtney are both too desperate to be liked by D&G

All of D and G are problematic as shit and I even studied them in marketing over their asian flop campaign as an example of what not to do. However the only thing I would say is the "slave" sandal I think it's a translation from italian, because sandals that goes up on your ankle kind of like criss cross is called sandalo alla schiava which does mean slave style sandal basically. So it's more of an italian fashion thing and not just a d and g thing. As an italian I grew up calling that way, but I guess I just realized how messed up it is when it's translated, so it's messed up even for me to wrap my head around it

I do agree with most of what you‘re saying but I have to strongly disagree with you on the surrogacy part: I in no means want to defend Dolce & Gabbana, but surrogacy should be talked about more critically (especially in the US, I live in Germany and surrogacy is not allowed here). From a feminist point of few, surrogacy is extremely exploitive as it mostly is done by women who need the money. Entitled gay couples & celebrities shouldn’t be able to get kids through surrogacy, just because they do happen to want kids but can’t oder don’t want to get them the „natural“ way, through adoption or IVF. If you look through some of the statements of parents who got a kid through surrogacy, they often talk really poorly and inhumanly about the women the got the baby from (especially men) and celebrity women explain that they don’t want to „loose“ their pre-pregnancy body etc.

So for the Lemme gummie commentary, I feel like at some point we need as the consumer is also responsible for what we buy. It is not Kourtney’s responsibly to change her marketing because kids will take her gummies. That is the responsibility of the parent to not buy their child a brand that has never used children as their audience. You also have the responsibility to look into these products and choose for yourself what you want to take. On one hand you have commentators saying the audience is growing hip to various branding but on the other hand we have commentators and the audience saying someone can fall for the branding.

You really have to be careful what supplements you take because a majority of people don't need supplements unless you have dietary restrictions or older in age. When I fell victim to this crazy my skin started breaking out SOOO much so I went to a doctor and he told me it's because I was taking supplements and vitamins that my body didn't need(I was talking a multi and B vitamin). My body was literally over dosing in vitamins that it was trying to get rid of and that's what was causing my acne because my body was trying to get rid of it though the skin

not to defend D&G but in Italy there is a very different sense of cultural appropriation and sometimes things that are normal in Italy (slave sandals are the name of that sandal style) don’t translate well abroad. Same for the earrings, they are actually very common in Sicily and many people have the heads of the moor as decorations at home as well.
